Actually, Seattle's "12th Man" tradition was ripped off of Texas A&M University, which is regarded by many sports journalists as having both the most passionate student body and the best stadium atmosphere. Way to rip off of one of the most rich traditions in NCAA sports. The Aggies are the REAL 12th Man.

I agree with the vikings comment. When Favre leaves, most of the fan base will be gone. If peterson ever leaves, the other half will go as well. They didn't have any sell out games until Favre came to town. But I disagree that if the team sucks, you are a better fan. Of course, a regular fan is a better fan then a bandwagoner. But a regular fan of a crappy team and a regular fan of a very good team have no difference; one is not better than the other. The Packers will win the superbowl, btw.
