  • I'd much rather hear someone talking me through a tutorial than me having to read it.

  • Question: How do u do the lines so perfect? i.e. perfect circle and egg and straight lines?

    Merci beaucoup en avance!

  • Question: Is there anything you can't do? good work :)

  • omg!!! thnk u so much, because of u, i was no.2 for my drawing ^^ ( a competition )

  • I want a video whit pencil, no with computer!

  • @AceFFan Then I have one for you in my playlist ;-) search : "Tutorial 01 : HOW TO DRAW A FACE in 8 steps - Français - English"

  • Thank you !

    i love you videos !

  • cold you please do a tutorial on how you shade and blend colors? (digital painting) i love your art so much! it is so gorgeous---and i love your music too. are there links to your music on youtube?

  • @YuukiHyouketsu Thanks a lot ! My album"vagalam" is on Itunes, the link is under the video, there are also music on my website. For blending, I have made "Drawing tutorial : Hatching & blending techniques (Pencil or Photoshop) "

  • I was there for about 5 minutes trying to figure out where I knew That Name. Stephanie, Stephanie Valentine. That Name. OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!! DOLL IN THE CITY!!!! Late Reaction...

  • @RainbowBubbles2011 Thanks lol

  • Stephanie, your art is very original and unique. I assume you have a great career in art. I wonder if you would do a Manga or Anime speed drawing. If you have time, take a look at my videos (2 so far) and feel free to give me some feedback. Thank you.

  • Stephanie,

Beautiful art, i have always tried to find tutorials with clear instructions on what the opicity should be, what layers, even layer names, and you have showed me that. Not only is it clear in words with the written but it is showed on the other half of the screen. As i go along i start to see the transformation in such little things, stuff that i thought would be impossible to draw, but you show me how easy it is. Thank you.

  • Thanks from Ireland, for such a clear and brilliant lesson

  • !(◎_◎;)

  • Oh. Great! I went to your website. They are amazing! Thanks for responding by the way.

  • Stephanie, I love your drawings. They are... "art." I would love to see a painting made with paintbrushes and paint in real life, not photoshop. If those are as great as your drawings in PhotoShop, you should sell paintings. Of corse, if you don't already.

  • @justinbieberfan5991 Thanks a lot ;-) Yes, I started by oil paintings, I have some videos here and the paintins are on my website.

  • Overtime can you develop the skill to not need the guide lines?

  • Thanks!! This really helped me out! :D

  • NICE! can you try faces in different angle or position? like facing up , down etc.. :D thnx

  • I'm stuck at step 1

  • Wow this helps alot thank you, great to see you did the lovely Marilyn Monroe

  • how in the HELL do you draw the egg and circle so perfectly!?!?!

  • Thank you sooooooooo much. This helped me to draw a head that looks appropriate, now I just have to go through your tutorials to finish off the details.

  • Thank you for this tutorial. I was wondering though, how big do you draw the egg if it's in proportion to the circle? So that I can repeat this away from youtube, when I turn my computer off.

  • @loveablemoggy Thanks, it depends of the shape of the head you want to draw, the egg lenght is about a little less than 1.5 circle diameter.

  • @StephanieValentin Merci. I always have the difficulty of making the egg shape too long, or too narrow in the bottom part, or the opposite, and make it too wide and flat across the bottom, or even too short, so I get frustrated and then don't believe I can do it.

  • So Marilyn Monroe has the perfect facial construction?

  • Wow, this is amazing, i already had the majority of that right it was just the levels for the eyebrows and nose really. thank you this helped a great deal. =]

Can i ask: was that meant to be Marilyn Monroe, because it looks a lot like her

  • thanks alot! you need to make more videos.

  • very very good!! my compliments

  • i have seven words awesome! ;-) good and thanks for tutorial i have CS4 PHOTOSHOP TOO!

  • @BlueViolaTelevision I believe so

  • Is that Marilyn Monroe?

  • @KIRL4mercs

I have a bamboo and it's wonderful. It makes drawing on a computer a bagillion times easier.

  • So this tutorial helped me get the basic face shape down thanks a bunch! Any suggestions on good quality low budget sketch pads? I found one on amazon for 50 bucks but I am not sure if it is a good buy. It's wacom bamboo pen tablet, advice on weather I should get it or not would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

  • .^_^°oO(Fantastic lesson!)

  • marilyn monroe there she goes

  • hey, just try it out and I am surprise that I actually drew a decent face!

    Thanks.

  • This is helpful indeed, thanks

  • Stephanie,

I truly enjoy and learn from what you share. You help me to become a better artist. You give much and may you receive many blessings for it.

  • @Amazira13 awww thts nice but true.

  • @Amazira13 Thanks a lot for these kind words ;-)

  • presentation is good. Keep rocking

  • I can manage to get the eyes, nose, and ears. My main problem is that I can't seem to get the face to look right. :( And I'm having problems with realistic mouths.

    This tutorial is great!! ♥

  • Its Marilyn Monroe! Lol

  • Hermoso!!!

  • definatly helped me a lot :D

  • if only it was that easy lol

  • wow thats easy with a pen but i use a mouse which it makes hair very difficult

  • merci beaucoup tres bon

  • do you have to draw these guidelines everytime you draw a face or it gets more and mre familiar that you eventually lose it and draw free hand?

  • do you have to draw these guidelines everytime you draw a face or it gets more and mre familiar that you eventually lose it and draw fee hand?

  • @atwodollarnote I prefer to draw some guidelines everytime.

  • @atwodollarnote a lot of artist just lightly lay down markers as they can visualise the rest.

  • @atwodollarnote it usually helps to draw the layout of the face if its ur first time but after a while you will get used to the mearsurements and everything so if u practice enough u WILL end up drawing free hand, i guess, depends on the person if they want to or not because they are always more acurate when they draw with the lines depending on how acurate the lines are. so maybe maybe not. i hope this comment helped.

  • Great tutorial :) I think that I'm going to start drawing again! The problem that I have when I draw is shading. Could you make a tutorial on shading? That would be really helpful ;)

  • @RavenBlade234 Thanks, you can look at my tutorial playlist, the link is at the end of the video.

  • @RavenBlade234 same with me i hate shading! its always the toughest thing when it comes to drawing people but also its one of the most importent things, without shading your character will have no proper detail and life, it will just look like maybe a cartoon or something

  • as my french teacher would say...

tres tres tres tres tres tres tres bien =]

  • how did you get the egg-shape to be so accurate and smooth-lined??

  • Marilyn Monroe, no? Resemblance, anyone?

  • @Kpspen yup it is her. The drawing even has her beauty spot ; )

  • @Kpspen I think so too

  • @Kpspen it is Marrilyn Monroe

  • omg... tht looks soo easy!! BUT i bet if i try, itl fail :P

  • @xDarkxIchigox I'm sure you can, my sons did it yesterday and they have 9 and 12 years ;-)

  • @StephanieValentin Sounds as if they inherited awesomeness.

  • @StephanieValentin im only 11 and its ok for me but mym mums an artist i guess i inherit from her, and shes always there to give me tips when im stuck.

  • @xDarkxIchigox The trick is to fail less each time you try :3

  • pffft.....is that all? that's so easy i definitely could do exactly as you did no problems whatsoever! lol

  • @liljay652002 cocky much?

  • @theeBlondes I was being sarcastic...this is incredible!

  • oooh...aahh.

  • thank you so much!

  • very helpful

  • awesome tutorial. Is that possible to draw the digital painting without using tablet but just using mouse?

  • @darrenhcf Yes it's possible. Many people sent me their drawings made with a mouse, and I was very surprised because they were very good ;-)

  • @pokerfacex101 Why not, it's a good idea ! I will thinking about that.
