I agree with Markopolos on the OTC derivatives front, I don't think they should ban them but they should make clear that it is beyond the remit of the taxpayer to bail people out. They should essentially operate outside of the rest of the financial world and off the balance sheet of banks, you should not be able to secure any real, actual money based on some supposed, possible gain from a CDS for example- its a fiction.
Tough talk is cheap... If Harry had been in the room with H Paulson and the 13 bank directors in 08, He would've bailed them out to. Cos the alternative was unthinkable. ASnd he knows it.
Its easy to stick out your chest, after the danger is gone
MSNBC keep showing SEC "experts" and their investment "gurus" daily and have no information about any Markopolis type whistleblower. The question is, is MSNBC with trillion dollar money laundering corporate mafia?!
Harry is great but he's wrong on the FED. The FED is as corrupt as the govt, the govt likes to pass the buck but at least the govt is somewhat accountable to the people.
Your right, what I should have said is that we don't need a central bank, and the duties to "coin" money should be left to congress. The Fed is corrupt inasmuch as their endgame is to play corporatism not capitalism and to transfer as much wealth as possible. That is where I disagree wtih Harry, the Fed and govt is/are not "good".
Federal Reserve is the ultimate evil institution controlled by banksters, accountable to no one but themselves, catering to the insatiable power hunger of both political parties through printing press, while transferring huge amount of wealth from the middle class to special interests groups.
It is the greatest threat to the freedom and prosperity of this country. The sooner it is destroyed the better off we'll be.

Did you hear his comments on Fed at all? He said Fed is the most corrupt regulator, hundreds times worse than the terrible SEC.

What's the latest with Harry? Is he still alive I hope? What has the SEC done to squash the fraud by big brokers like Goldman, JPM, and Citi?
