I have a problem, after i set the code etc etc, when i click the image in browser, Lightbox shows me the big version of teh image on teh bottom of the page. How do i fix that?
Make sure you put rel="lightbox" in the <a href and not in the <img src .
I would recommend you name your folder w/ the files like the author does: "lightspot". Maybe the name in the folder should be the same as the one in the rel=" ".
Moreover, it seems that this works perfectly even with hotspots.
i am LOVING this tutorial. but i think im having the same problem as steve. i sure hope you're active on here. i really need to get this site built.
i am up to the point of linking the smaller to the larger and when i tried to view it originally. it would still just open a new page. however i was doing it on one of the preset template so i made a new blank one. tried again but this time i just get "errors"
it worked. thanks again! I have a question, what if you want to click on an image and then it activates lightbox, but you have a series of images that you don't want to show on your website, but rather, they are just versions of your larger image (example: multiple portfolio images for one thumbnail)
I'm just learning all of this and I'm really grateful to have found your tutorial. I'm going to give this a shot. I like how straightforward you made it seem. wish me luck! and thank you : )
Thank you so much for this tutorial, i kept making a simple mistake, and having nothing else to reference was driving me mad. This was a true help! Thank you!
Loved your tutorial. However, when I implemented the code as you instructed, it did not work on my page. In Firefox, nothing happens and in IE, I get an error.
@Psmeg
Thank you for your response. I was wondering if you know how to embed this is Adobe Flash CS4?

Guys, if you have any problems, do the following:
Make sure you put rel="lightbox" in the <a href and not in the <img src .
I would recommend you name your folder w/ the files like the author does: "lightspot". Maybe the name in the folder should be the same as the one in the rel=" ".
Moreover, it seems that this works perfectly even with hotspots.

Sounds to me like you either have the path to the javascript and/or CSS set incorrectly, or you don't have the required JS/CSS files available.
Check those first and then let me know if you still have problems.

I got it, thanks.

Steve, do you have a copy of the page online so I can take a look at the code and see if I can help with your problem?
Alternatively, can you post the error message here to see if I can shed some light on the issue?
