Thank you so much :D i really love these tutorials, they help a LOT! btw do you have a tutorial explaining what i can use the media generator checkerboards for? thx ;)
Another great tutorial for this (at first) baffling, albeit powerful, piece of software. Thanks for your guidance and tutorials Dex, I've been following a few for a couple days and I was pulling my hair out working out some stuff for my videos and so far I've learnt exactly the info I was looking for from your videos, including this one.
Thanks for the info Dex! I found playing around with the contrast and brightness of the still helps because the still and the video have slightly different look. Vegas could have made this a little simpler, but hey Vegas rocks even if it doesn't cook your breakfast for you. What about speeding up video in Platinum 10. Is there anyway to speed it up past 4x without re-rendering?

@FsVilve
Cheers :)
To get the most out of Media Generators you have to learn how to use keyframes to animate the Fx.
Drop in a selection to the timeline.
Press the Animate button at very bottom of Fx Window.
Now move the cursor along about 5 seconds.
Change some of the Sliders and Colours.
Now Play Back.
get it now ?

I have made a 2nd video on how to speed up video past 400%.
This is the only way to do it.
There are technical reasons why software can't speed video past 400% in one go - it's all about frame rates.

could you please make a vid of your render settings would be awesome!!!

There are often many ways to "skin a cat" using Vegas.
I encourage everyone to experiment and find different ways to achieve results.
Peace :)

Such a simple technique but a necessary one to know, I would not have known it without your help. Thanks a lot.

@DocSatori
That method you described doesn't actually work, because if you try and "stretch" out a frame, it doesn't "hold" on that one frame.
It will just regenerate the film.
However, you can duplicate the frame over and over again.
Thanks for putting my mind into the parallel universe.
I'll post a 2nd video to address your great idea.
