That would be 1985 and on, although I was a kid, and the cartoons were what I remember the most. I didn't really appreciate 80s music until the 90s though. Also, like you, there was one thing from the 80s I didn't much care for, and still don't. That would be Garbage Pail Kids.

I'm 21. I love the 80's. The song in this video, Lady Gaga, and Lil Wayne are all completely different genres. If all you can find to listen to these days is those two then you've done yourself a massive disservice but not using the internet to actually find good music. On that note, Lady Gaga is a good singer. People seem to like ignoring that. There hasn't been so much variety in music as there is now since it's so much easier to make music and market it yourself.

I have to resort to listening to good music on the internet because all MTV and VH1 want to play is rap videos in the morning and re-runs of stupid reality t.v. shows and I have to pay extra to get VH1 classic which does play good stuff. I also like country music but country is not what it was back in the 80s and 90s. Music of today just flat out sucks.
