I am so glad i found this video, because I couldnt get past Sector 2 TRO near the Reactor core. How did u get the energy up to 9 bars, I only have 6 up to this point of the game (I must have missed a few energy boost points). No wonder it's been so hard for me to beat SA-X.

The SA-X made this game almost like a horror game, and it achieved the goal of terrifying and unnerving me more than Resident Evil or Dead Space has. Mostly because I never expected THIS in my Metroid experience. Not to mention that the game's only advice for you towards it, at first, is to "JUST RUN"

Just think about it, Samus knew how to destroy Metroids, but when she got infected those memories carried over to SA-X, so it knew what to do when confronted with Samus (she has Metroid DNA in her from the Vaccine) So the SA-X tries to destroy Samus because it knows Samus will be able to stop their reproducing and destruction. Hence why the SA-X uses the ICE beam and missiles...

You remember in the game when the computer said that the X and the Metroids were natural born enemies. So I figured that their Geneatic make-up would conflict with the other.

I based that on what the computer said and how violent the Sa-X was toward Samus. Also in the end,if that was an Omega Metroid then why did it attack Samus and not just the Sa-X

The SA-X was just an X that mimicked samus. Remember that after the metroid vaccine, Samus was able to absord X in their gelatinous, non-mimicking form. That's why he was able to absorb the SA-X.

You know that Missile Block you gotta blow out to proceed? You can use that (while freezing the SA-X as it annoys you) to get away, instead of hiding in the next room.

Yeh, until the Mother Brain battle in Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion, the Metroid series was never about the horror. It was an adventure game like Kid Icarus.

Oh no you just barely survived your X infection it was oozing all over your face but the Federation performed surgery on you and put you back together thanks to injecting metroid cells into your system. The operations deck was one intense fight, it took a lot of time to learn the strategy. If you are wondering why the SA-X did not attack Samus at the docking bay, it was because the SA-X had seen the omega metroid as the greater threat, being 100% metroid rather than say, 10%.

Not for me at least, because the pattern is really simple. Shoot with charged wave beam. It screw attacks. Rinse and repeat. It has the most exploitable AI bug ever as well, making the battle IMPOSSIBLY easy on 1% runs. Also about the omega metroid, yeah i think that as well. I think after finding that it cannot kill the Omega Metroid on its own, it decided to let you absorb itself so that you could kill the Omega Metroid.

It's strange, I think, the X are the metroids' prey. Yet the SA-X still fought the Omega Metroid.

The SA-X may have learned to reason, near the end of the game, if you remember anything being said about it lacking reason, it is possible that it had acquired it near the end.

Nope, the X was too weakned after 2 battles, so it couldnt survive and fight back, making it easy for samus to absorb it.....oh, and the reason X fought the Omega Metroid onstead of Samus is because Omega was idenjtified as a much bigger threat
