She has great technique especially touché and speed is amazing but some nuancés that she ignored is important in asturias to me. For instance, she played octave movement in adagio section like it's boring no need to play. Such a talent shouldn't do that in my opinion

@stick321 I don't think so. Ana plays 'octave movement in adagio section' with exactly the right vigor that is necessary to connect the 'Allegro' piece with the subsequent passages. No sentimentalism necessary here. Not every music needs to be overly 'sensitive'. This is a flamenco - bulerias - inspired piece, and should be played likewise.

my father showed me this video a few months ago, and i was entranced. I spent hours trying to find this video again, i had to hear it again. and now that i've found it, its become the only video in my favorites. @K1rbya I'm well aware of the complexity, but it doesn't sound like music to me, more like a technical exercise. What's the point watching someone playing highly complex shite (yeah, I know, just my oppinion)? I always wondered how many people who watch this are really appreciating the music. Whenever there is something "cultural" going on I have always the feeling people just are there to pretend they are extremely sophisticated. Still like her to see playing a proper guitar. just teasing :)

It's more than complex, its beautiful. I don't understand how you can say this could possibly be a technical exercise, it's a classical peice that should be performed by a an orchestra, but she has the ability to play it by herself, on a single instrument.

@K1rbya It's a taste-thing. If I'd tell you what I'm listening to most of the time, you'd shake your head :) I only like a few classical "tracks". Tried to get the hang of classical music, but I can't. I don't feel the music or better said, it doesn't give me emotions or sound good. Therefore I can appreciate the complexity, but I'm bored when I listen to it.

I'm studying the classical guitar at the moment and John Williams is really someone I look up to, when I began being interested in music and the guitar I started getting into bands like Black Sabbath and Deep Purple etc, and recently am getting into early blues music where that sort of music came from. The thing that really attracted me to classical guitar music is the fact that there can be three things going on at once (melody, bass, accompaniment) and all played by one person.
