With the sudden popularity of Texas Hold 'Em Poker events on TV, perhaps maybe Weird Al Yankovic should've done a parody of this great track entitled "If The River's A 10", and should include excerpts of the WSOP telecasts featuring samples of Lon Machern and Norman Chad calling various footage from ESPN WSOP Main Events telecasts

Probably the only good song off a terrible album. Taupin is on record as saying that The Big Picture is his least favourite album they ever did. Not sure what happened on that album, The One and even Made in England were pretty consistent.

Best song on the album.. I really do enjoy this album by Elton "The Big Picture".. though it feels super outdated just 12 years later and slightly overproduced.. I just have to be in a certain mood, but when I am, I really do enjoy it.

Just listen to the words and think about the crew of Voyager, their relationship with their captain and the relationships they have developed with one another while in the song delta quandrant. The particular part of the song that reminds me of Voyager's crew and their captain is the "home at last from the wild sea, all the twist and turns we've made together, all the boats you've rocked with your harmony". The song is about overcoming great odds and Star Trek Voyager is about doing such.

Hmm, a great arrangement and fabulous tune. Great use of choir for gospel effect and a real shame that the single failed in the upper echelons of the chart. Lets hope that some day that the new era in music downloads will recognise these great tunes than the decaying period of physical singles sales.
