  • MRI results from o.s.u have proven no significant increase in motor unit recruitment with incline,flat or weighted dips.if you hit incline you will hit the entire chest.you cant isolate a section of muscle.same way you cant eliminate the front delt,or triceps.close grip bench simply places a little more stress on the triceps due to bone movement and of course hand placement.

  • my advice... in your nxt few videos less talk and more action !

    on top of that show the different angles of the placement of the bench etc. thanx anyways.

  • @jlock84 - Yes its called a standing chest flye, very effective on your upper chest muscles, usually works quite well with dumbbells

    Well you are right about incline DB and BB press. We both know that compound movements are the best for muscle building. The exercises that this guy shows are ok but i dont think that you can built muscle this way.

    so every monday I do chest. starting with 3 sets 25 pushups, then 3 sets chest press, then I skip my 3 incline chest press sets because there are no incline presses at my gym. Then I finish with pec deck machine or flys.

    question one. will skipping this incline press have a bad affect?? because I have noticed my upper chest seems a bit smaller to the rest now.

    question two. is there any real difference from Pec Deck or Flys (the thing like pec deck but hands grab it

  • @mohammad112388 yea actually they are because they are so long. In body building, longer arms give the appearance of more muscle mass. Of course, his arms aren't big...but if he was to add just an inch around his arms he would look great. One thing that people look for is the seperation of each muscle group. And remember, this is called "Bone to Buff"...lol he was probably really really skinny. He's put in some work.

  • Very good, you have creative thinking. It's never enough to hit the muscle with the single direction movement, like Press. One should use multiple directions to stimulate the fibers. OK. I never work out while sitting or lying, - only standing or hanging - that's my personal belief. What do you think about raising the plate in a similar manner above you head while standing? - stresses the back, right, but interesting, isn't it? Or alternate grip overhead Press (standing) ?

  • It does work your delts a little but keep your arms angled right and concentrate on your upper chest it works well also I do chest and shoulders on the same day so it really doesnt matter if it works the shoulders a little bit

  • the incline works for me, and alot of shoulder exersices works out the upper chest. Instead of flat bench go str8 2 incline bench

  • The middle excercise is about the only legitimate upper chest routine and you should grab a barbell OVERhand and raise only to about head level.

  • Thanks for this exercise, my lower chest is worked so easily, but now my chest looks awkward. I have the curves at the bottom of my chest, but then the upper chest is just blah. I will defiantly try this exercise today :)

    Dude, first thing to learn about the gym, is, not to care about what anyone else thinks. Above all, everyone has had to start form the beginning at some point.

    I'd much rather see a 'new kid on the block' doing low weights, but correct technique, and not being pressured rushed into finishing set / reps.

    Take your time, and enjoy the pump.

  • @Sasquatched23 yea those aren't decline push ups. elevated push ups focus on the upper pecs if you do them correctly

  • @Sasquatched23 I dont have a tough time anymore :) And the decline pushups will force maximal recruitment of your upper chest muscles...and it will work your inner crevice using the cables as well

    i thought so. in my opinion the raised vein in the biceps always looks impressive in a really decent way. i'm hoping to get it one day. i choose small bulid with definition over being bulky. the veins in my forearms and feet are pronounced. i looking to build upper chest...so thanks for the vid...respect.
