  • Anthony Perkins was born to play Norman Bates!

  • A man that covers his tracks so methodically surely cannot be crazy! ;-)

  • gads, even though this is a classic horror scene, there are some camera shots of Tony that are beautiful......

  • My....she's really enjoying that shower, eh?

  • One of the most poignant movies Hitchcock's ever made.

  • Her face looks hilarious on the floor

  • What a crazed perv

  • Tony did his finest work here. So wrong that he didn't win an Oscar for this role.

  • its look like she is enjoying her shower very much...

  • @blackhakwar It is because she has decided to return the stolen money so her shower is washing away her sins.

  • @blackhakwar Marion had decided to go back to Phoenix, come clean, and take the consequence, so when she stepped into the bathtub it was as if she were stepping into the baptismal waters. The spray beating down on her was purifying the corruption from her mind, purging the evil from her soul. She was like a virgin again, tranquil, at peace

  • he's kinda cute.... jk.

  • Wouldn't Norman be blood splattered? Did he really have time to change his clothes? Oh well, good movie. And A.H. froze the camera, I read, to make her look dead, not blinking, breathing, but you can see the drops of water not running off her nose. lol!

  • Do you have any blog or web page where we can watch parts 5 and 6?

  • @IGNerBrasil I would love to do that for you guys but unfortunately, i dont know how to make a web page and it would probably cost money. if you have any suggestions on making a webpage or anything, please let me know.

    thanks :)

  • @LiamLEGOGUY99 Perhaps a livejournal account or a free blog page. Most of them allow the uploading of videos

  • @LiamLEGOGUY99 You can develop web pages for free, most web pages are written in HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language), just search for html tutorials.

  • @IGNerBrasil Type in the address bar. Psycho.1960 Part 5

  • @IGNerBrasil Psycho.1960 Part 5 & Psycho.1960 Part 6. They have periods after the word psycho, copy and paste that in the address bar.

  • @XByTheShoreX Thank you a lot, man!

  • @IGNerBrasil Your very welcome! :)

  • where is part 5

  • 03:30 the way the door opens is quite scary.

  • some hobo who goes through the trash can is gonna be some lucky guy

  • @NIghtRider805 Why ?

  • Visit my channel for the FULL Psycho Soundtrack - remastered from the original master-tapes!

    NEVER BEFORE HEARD!

Never released, original film version of 1960

  • what a great janitor that Mr. Bates is! he did a really thorough clean up job ;)

  • I'm probably the only person to notice this, but at 0:28 Bates removes a painting from the wall to peer at Marion undressing. The painting's subject is "Susannah and the Elders" ...a biblical story about two lecherous voyeurs who try to take advantage of an unsuspecting young woman while she's bathing. An interesting bit of symbolism on the part of Mr Hitchcock.

  • @davishev agreed

  • @davishev dont be so surprised about that, Hitchcock was a legend. He knew what he was doing, he had a lot of secrets in hes films and it takes time for the audience to realise that.

  • @Gencturk92 I agree! What Hitchcock was to or did for filmmaking, Magic Johnson did for passing or "assists!"

  • @davishev I wonder which personality he was in when watching her? Had he become Norma, the mom, or was he still the same guy?

  • @davishev pardon me but i am quite smart so hoo hoo pardon me again im the only smart one in the room hoooooo

  • @ThePadrisimo Sorry I offended. I'll try to be a little dumber next time.

  • @davishev Hitchcock nerd alert ;) jk haha:-)

  • @davishev I am reading a book which talks about that right now. Nice pick up!

  • @asteezy7 which book would that be?

  • @LiamLEGOGUY99 I was reading a small book which had a block quote in it from Barbara Creed's The Monstrous Feminine: Film, Feminism, Psychoanalysis

  • @davishev Watch the official trailer of the film; Hitchcock himself gives a hint

    about the painting

  • Greatest movie of all time! Remember to lock the door when you shower :D Shhhriiich! Shhhriiich! Shhhriiich!

  • he didnt realize the newspaper was unnaturally heavy ? l0l

  • Please make part 2 and 6 watchable on mobile devices

  • Next time remember to lock the door. Great movie anyway.

  • @Doonesbury444

wouldn't he just have the key anyway ?

  • @Doonesbury444 Doesn't work when the psycho has the key!

  • @cjjohnsonfamily. Wrong. You can't open if the key is in.

  • @Doonesbury444 would it really matter if the door was locked anyway? there is more than one key to room 1 in the office xD

  • @kornymusic13 You can't open a door if the key is into in the other side

  • Comment removed

  • @Doonesbury444 the "grandma" could've broken thru the door anyhow
