@NevadaMusicUK Nooo, You didnt understand, I Want a full Review of the Roland TD-12KX, the TD-9KX2 have a great and long review, i want a Roland TD-12KX long review, understand? I Realy like your's Reviews, keep it up.
That's great for a electronic drumset. But I will still get the Alesis DM10X. Getting an expensive electronic drumset. It is just not worth it. A acoustic drumset trumps all.
@96515325 Depends on your budget. If you're recording drums you might be better off getting a $2k e-kit and something like Addictive Drums for your Mac/PC and recording midi. If you're going to do some home studio stuff that is. The acoustic way to do it is going to cost you WAY more to get similar quality. Just the mics alone would be in excess of 2k. And the studio space would matter a whole lot more than if you were doing everything digitally. So.. It all depends.
I just purchased this kit about 2 months ago....it is fabulous. I had a dt explorer for like 12 years and the difference is night and day, just like i knew it would be. If your into electronic kits , it's well worth the investment. There is so much more about this kit I don't even know about yet....it's hard to research it, you just have so much fun setting it up and scrolling through the pre set kits and re adjusting this versatile kit, you'll love it.
@jonvball23 is there a way to make it so the perfect snare sound isn't so precisely in the middle. It's like the size of a coin right in the middle to get the sound. Can you make it so it's bigger or is the whole snare.
@chowin52 The TD4's are great! You can get one of them for around 900.00,Even cheaper used.I have one and I cant stop playing it.I now have it connected to ezdrummer,And a Alesis control pad.Its like a huge set of drums.I bought ezplayer pro and now I can start and stop tambourine's,shakers, bongo's,ect.with 1 pad,but I use 3 cause I can.Ezplayer has 3 snares to choose from,But I use the roland tom's sound.I have a trigger I/O connected to controlpad for 10 extra pad inputs.Have 8 cymbals.love it
I see there is a double bass drum option in the brain module, can you use a double bass drum pedal, Would it tigger ok cos the beaters will be off centre
WHy is it, that not one of these videos, shows ALL the kits on the screen while they are being played. Show the kit being played on the module, while the kit is being played. On ALL THE KITS> PLEASE! Like the video does at 6:48! JAck did a really nice job too! This guy has a better groove at times than Rabb, Blundell or SHack. A video like this is like money in the bank. If I had the money , dang well I would be buying one! Some of those just knock me out, they are so realistic!
I got this at Christmas too, its a truly amazing kit to play with. Its even more favorable than an acoustic drum kit in most ways. The price tag I admit was pretty disgusting and original. The price is going to stay there for a long time. I posted some videos on my channel.
@lilstix71 lucky! i want this kit! my parents don't give me that much money for christmas lol. i get about 1,500 ish but i'm not an only child. if i was, who knows. this could be mine! have fun playing tho (: btw i got a pearl vision so i'm happy
@Xnothinbetter2dewX its not cheating... there is a kit called "double pedal" on the module and makes the hi hat pedal a second bass pedal. and yes you can add a double pedal! i have one!
Im having trouble with two things, I need help. How in the world do you put the toms that close like in this video, it looks impossible from distance wise. My two toms are too far apart, ball clamps are a new thing for me. I also need a good diagram for all the plugs, my wires and plugs cant reach one cymbal and its the one to the far right of the rack which is the ride.
at about half the cost of the TD 20 I think this is the better deal. I think I will get one to practice and record ideas with. It's nice to see a drummer who has some good chops do a demo! This guy is good.
@drummerguy4gdmbfmv Yes, you can make any pad/rim on the drum be anything you want. You can have all drums and cymbals to be rides if you wanted. LOL.
@sasjenkyn If you don't plan to use this kit for recording, live sound, play along songs via mp3 player lined in, and use headphones to not disturb neighbors at midnight, Then this kit is not for you.
@StarCraftStrategiez you make me sound like an unintelligent fool.... of which i probely am, anywayz i think ill get an new acoustic juding by your list there thanks :D
@sasjenkyn Better yet, if you want an electric and accoustic set, go for the Pearl E-Pro Live. I don't know how good the module is, but the drumset is amazing. It has real wood shells, so if you wanna convert your electronic set to accoustic, just swap the heads to real drum heads. Look this up on youtube; Pearl E-Pro Live
One question for TD12 users or Vdrum players (that has quite bugging me after watching TD12 demos/samples), can i hook up my double pedals to the kick drum?? please reply my question! =(
@XxFadxX Yes, you can, there is enough room on most vdrum kicks, and all rolands, even the KD8, although there you have to put the sensitivity up a little because of the smaller playing surface (equivilent of getting a big sound out of the outer sides of the snare head)

Is it pretty easy to record drums on Pro Tools or other DAW's? Do you need a mixer to record it or just a regular interface?

For about 2000 quid less, I'd rather the Alesis DM10X. Don't get me wrong, I'd kill for the TD12, but drumming in prison doesn't attract me.
