@AnointedShield Thankfully, I've graduated so I'm no longer having to deal with their "Gays are going to hell" preaching. Yeah I wouldn't be allowed to use the first amendment in that school because it was a private school. The principal was also very ignorant to the things that went on in that school so I don't know if he's really correct about that whole "Gays aren't bullied here" thing. They were certainly offended at that school, I know that much.

@AnointedShield I went to a Christian school, and I did "Day of Silence" and the people made fun of it saying it was ridiculous and didn't help anything and the principal pulled me aside and told me to quit because they didn't believe in what I was protesting, and I told him it was anti-bullying, not pro gay rights but anti-bullying of gays and he said "well I feel that gays aren't bullied in this school so you don't have a reason to do this." I was really pissed.

I TOTALLY agree with you! We should be standing up for ourselves & I think it's pathetic how most gays are so complacent to let others do the work for them (esp those who use gay guys for sex but who are bi, pass as str8, or on the DL).

The Act Up activists in the 80s did what we all should be doing now: getting a FULL civil rights bill passed (among other things!). I came out when I was 16 & have suffered the slings & arrows because of it, but what's really sad is how rare gay activists are.
