Actually he passed away the year before this short was completed. It was his final performance and he was sick when he was filming. However, his concentration never wavered and his work is really incredible in this.
@Monkhead I was the vocal music teacher for a semester. We worked on the musical together, and I also gave Sam some vocal lessons. He was an outstanding young man, very talented, and a barrel of laughs. The drama program was very active and the students in it were very accomplished.

yea thanks. I'd never thought he was sick when he was filming this. He died a year later when this movie came out.
