I searched Barbara Lee after Dr. Ron Paul mentioned how they disagree with economic policies, but he has talked with Miss Lee on the war issue that they agree on.  Dr. Paul is my hero and I give Barbara Lee much respect on her anti war stance. My one question is in the video it states that congress vote like 450 to 1 implying that she is the one no vote. I was just wondering the validity of this because Ron Paul is the most anti war congressman and I would doubt very much that he voted Yes.

It's important that people take a step back as Lee instructed in her speech. Thanks to the Shock Doctrine, it's easy for government to pass through concepts that would typically never pass. But because people put so much trust in the government after traumatizing events, no one questions its actions. This is the fault of Lee's colleagues, the media and its consumers. Everyone needs to be more aware of how dangerous it is to simply let the government have free reign after a shocking event.

The government would want to participate in war because through the means of war, they'd be able to secure or obtain more power. In the case of Iraq, I personally think the government made up the concern about there being nuclear weapons. They were looking for a reason to invade and possibly look out for ways to get oil. Terrorism can not be defeated through force, it can only be defeated through addressing the causes of it (ie your government's foreign policy). Reddog, short time span explains exactly why it was explosives. Never before in history has a steel framed building collapsed due to fire. Historically, destruction by fire is slow with large visible deformations, melting due to long burn times and large pieces falling off. Instead, with both towers and building 7 we saw total dismemberment of the steel frame at nearly free fall speed, indicating no resistance between floors. That can only happen with explosives.There is no other explanation.
