i work at a Ford, Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep dealer and every time I have to drive one of these I either try to find someone else to with desperation or want to shoot myself. I am all American, but this is truly an awful car. Sure they stand out from the rav4's crv's escape's and equinox's but it is not worth the torture you are put throught while driving.

Another POS made by Daimler Chrysler. I bought one here in Japan and it was the worst mistake I had ever made. The car was a complete lemon and for the price I payed it was so cheap on the inside. Ride quality was horrible and the engine noise was just intake manifold sucking air. This car deserve to be cancelled and everyone who bought one should have their money returned. This thing is a death trap and suffers from unintended acceleration, stalling and bad torque converter. POS CAR!!

Toyota is one of the companies with the least amount of recalls in the last 5 years, it's just their's were some of the biggest. And as far as SUA is concerned it was debunked already. I hate their cars but they are reliable. Chryslers on the other hand have have been consistently unreliable for over 20 years. Chrysler has had more recalls with their vehicle than all the Japanese auto companies combined.

They are recalled for the floor mat trapping the gas pedal, a pedal not manufactured by Toyota and that several other OEMs use that all suffer from the same Uncontrollable Accelerating. The other one is factory dealerships putting on tires and rims that do not meet load requirements for the vehicle, that is via FMV regs. I'm still wondering why their aren't more recalls on the Nitro, go to any forum and read.

The only shock is that they still make this thing! Hemi wont fit...the trans,transfer case and axle wouldnt take the power...and it would handle even worse. At the very least it needs the new pentastar v6 but it wont help it enough.

The Nitro is one of the few cars in the Chrysler lineup that haven't been redone since the partnership with Fiat. This thing was created during the years when Chrysler was owned by Daimler and Cerberus. Ergo, it sucks ass. I'm a big fan of Dodge, but anyone who is dumb enough to buy a 2011 Nitro deserves what they're getting.
