i never had the spectrum. after the atari 2800, i bought the commodore 64, and untill the amiga and megadrive/genesis arived, i did not felt the need to get me another console/computer :-D but i have been playing on a friends spectrum. i loved the rubber key's on the smaller version, but this one was better if you needed to type a lot :-D
@1UPGameOver on the C64, i could do a few things in "basic", but indeed, the most typing i did was for text adventures, and the game that's made in my country (the netherlands) "Tempo Typen" (translation: speed typing)
Amd I remember the Speed Typing Lessons that came with my Commodore 64C bundle... that one taught you how to correctly position your hands on the keyboard in order to type at full speed no looking... :)
Cool unboxing mate, nice additiion to your collection...the speccy was an awesome machine... loads of classics, that even todays console can't match :)
Thanks m8, one of these days we'll have to drink a poncha together in Madeira, My wife's sister got married to a local, so now me,my wife and daughter have a place to stay whenever we go there.
Ah a 128K spectrum that is just about the ultimate Speccy I guess.

Don't think that the ZX Spectrum or retrocomputing is over!
It's more alive then ever before! I can't keep up with all questions, orders, etc...
Now so many which had one back then, but didn't had the time, are retiring and have lot's of time and money for add-ons (mass storage etc) ;)

@Archeogamer

The problem is that I never was much of a coder ... so typing a lot would be me playing a good ol' text adventure :)
