  • And I had no idea of this redub here!

  • Hey, I was wondering, I mentioned on IAD forums regaridng your HB SFX colleiton: I have one of those, Disc 4, in the Pic-a-Nic basket produciton and plan to maker probaly a video on WIndows Media Player with some of those from tghe Rhino set and upload it here..hope I can..it's borrowed from Sound Ideas after all. I don't even know if therte are any left even on ebay or Mazon!

  • @doughnutser256 Meaning it's a good thing

  • @systemoperator In the previous DVD version they altered the soundtrack in some parts. Your version has the original soundtrack but restored

  • Well at least they restored the original soundtrack in the 45th anniversary edition

  • Egads, a part of my childhood was just butchered to death!

  • And in the next special edition, a new scene where Mary Poppings screams "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" will be added because ti was totally meant to be there in the first place.

  • @mightyfilm: LOL...probably when the sidewalk paintings start melting, the *kids* will be the ones to "NOOOOOOOOOOO!" together in the 50th anniversary remake.

  • The Simpsons.

  • At least it's not as bad as George Lucas, who think he has to make some sort of change to the Star Wars movies every decade or so.

  • Any other sound effects edits in Disney films I should know about?

  • @jedidarrick There used to be a naked chick in The Rescuers.

  • Wow! I never noticed that. I do have the 2009 45th anniversary DVD, but I didn't notice that either. I'll have to have a look at that, to see if it's the same as this.

  • I don't agree with the last one

Also I kinda like the new sound-effects they add to the movie

True, they aren't in the original cut but it shows Disney is not afraid to re-do the film's score

  • @TaleSpinTV1990 It also should be noted that they also took the original aspect ratio of 1.75:1 and added black bars on the sides to trick everyone into thinking the film was framed in 1.66:1

  • @TaleSpinTV1990 All right... then compare it to the Gumby episodes when they were redubbed in 1988, and tell me what you think of those redubs.

The new sound effects and music make it sound more like the film was made in 2004 instead of 1964.

  • @wileyk209zback to tell the truth I never saw the original version of Mary Poppins
