We have it all right here for the next 30 or so years at which point if we let people like Inhofe continue to be in government, our country will collapse as the economy is shattered into a billion tiny little pieces Oil is nice but there is a reason we call fossil fuels finite resources. It means they run out. So now would be the time to invest in other forms of energy so we don't suffer the massive consequences that relying on such finite resources entails.

Uhh because the US DOESN'T have enough oil and gas for it's own needs. We used to but we used more and the ground gave less.

And no it's not because of environmental laws. We have had 3 of the last 5 presidents openly hostile to the environment and another who would go conservative when it suited his political needs.

The idea that environmentalists have more power then oil companies with billions in profits is absurd.
