I'm in this movie, cast last minute by David Arquette, because Ed Archer had asked me to help him unload his horseless carriage from his trailer near Golden Gate Park a few blocks away; he suggested I come dressed 1911. I'm the gentleman who walks by the house with Jayme Lemons (Co-Producer) as friend, Ed Archer drive's his 1906 Locomobile up to the mansion to drop off party guests. It was filmed at the Westerfeld House (built 1889) in San Francisco, CA. Thank you David for including me!
@endymionsfate That is aweseome endymionsfate. I saw it in 3D at the Hollyshorts festival a couple of weeks ago. I absolutely loved it. It was so visually stunning and really depicts the emotion of the artwork.
Setting your sugar cube on fire is not a traditional way to prepare absinthe.. at least they didn't do fire in the movie. But where is the setting? It didn't seem very Belle Epoque, but I guess the setting was restrained by the painting the movie was centered around.
@Rachel01S The restaurant is called BIX its near the embarcadero in downtown SF. and the 1911 part is filmed at the Westerfield House in SF. its the house referred to as a “freaking decayed giant” in Tom Wolfe’s Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test and formerly occupied by both a wealthy Czarist refugee from the Russian revolution and a member of the Manson family. :)
It certainly was creative of David to make this short film based on a painting that caught his eye. I wish I could've seen it in 3-D, but then again all I ever see in 3-D films is just red and blue. lol ;D Anyways, will you posting part 2 soon! =D
Reminds me of a short version of "somewhere in time" :)
Thank you for uploading this!
