  • This is totally captivating and compelling!

  • Organs are apparently more complicated than i had originally thought.

  • lov it

  • OMG I LOVE!!

  • I love the irony of playing this piece in a church.

  • Sounds far superior when played on the organ. What a superb and virtuosic rendition from Raúl Prieto Ramírez 10/10

  • *fan*

  • Bravo!!

  • I am simply gob smacked. Incredible rendition :)

  • i think the organ makes it more creepy

  • Amazing cover!

  • GREAT! Simply that

  • Chilling. Love it!

  • I love this piece; it reminds me of when I was a kid and playing this in my high school orchestra as a freshman, and it made me start liking creepy music.

  • this is organ music!!!!!!

organ is not only bach d-moll toccata! i love this piece! sometimes i think about the organ version and think she´s better as the original!

    thank´s a lot!!!

  • Si, senor! Raul is peerless in his interpretration of this colourful work. If you like this, may I suggest (if you enjoy barn burner" organ works) "Thou Art the Rock" by Henri Mulet.

  • I perfectly agree!

  • Die Wahrheit!

  • I love it!

  • You did this piece justice, thank you for that!

  • The organ makes it 3.59 times as grotesque and carnival. Metu moveor.

  • this piece belongs on the organ. It just sounds mediocre coming from an orchestra.

  • This is one of my favourite pieces, and this does full justice. The organ gives it that haunting calliope sound that just seems so appropriate. I love it.

  • Amazing!

  • 6:38 that phrase brings chills to my spine. i love it!

  • That part and those huge chords immediately after are my very favorite part of the song, and this is a genius performance of it :)

  • @theashcan yes! I can't find words to describe it!

  • @theashcan

It's the laughing of the dead.

  • simply amazing.....i can play this with the violin but this plays all the orchestra!!!with only two hands and 2 feets simply amazing!!!

  • complimenten, mooie uitvoering van de Dance Macabre!

  • excelllllllent

  • Great playing- but there seem to be two different organists on two different organs playing here, with the clips spliced together. Who's the second organist, or did Raul die his hair?

  • Exactly, both are the same man, but there are two different recordings put together.

  • I was blown out of my seat but I wish I was blown out of my seat all the way to Spain so I can see this organist play in person.

    I love his interpretation.

  • Jese, I was near blown off my seat at 1:35!!! Isnt it all the same guy though? just with different length of hair. Seriously check out his website.

  • Hi :) Where can I download Your mp3 file with this music, with better quality sound? :) It's brilliant :D

  • Awesome! I love the quick registration switches, too :)

  • This video is so amazing. What an impeccable performance of extreme brilliance. Colorful magic coming at different interval when two organists combined their spectacular performance with amazing depth usually associated with an orchestra of such magnitude. Never seen anything so spectacular as the awesome performance by two talented genius compiling different sequences and uniting them into one imaginative performance of the decade.

  • That is unbelievable! I love this on the organ! Do you mind if I subscribe to your friends' list? I was so used to hearing this piece with the conventional orchestra, that I never heard this before until now! You guys are incredible!! I LOVE IT!!!!!

  • ...Ahhh... Such a beautiful piece of music! Ahhh... It sounds wonderful! What a great job he did! At 01:35, it made me quite excited! So haunting at that part... So beautiful... My heart is filled with joy! (I wish I could learn to play the pipe organ...)

  • brilliant performance!!

the organ is the ONLY instrument this wonderful piece should be played on, ironic as that may sound!!

Congratulations on an astounding performance, both of you!

  • geniale,bravo,creativo

  • for a different take on this...click on the user name and select!

  • Truly ingenious. The organ is really one of the most beautiful instruments with the capability to bring out the real 'haunting' quality of a piece such as this.

  • I only listen to this ... like...... 3x a week.

    Over the top!

  • my god! i love that part around 01:35, it's so haunting. Rrrrrr.... Great Job!!

  • Would love to have an organ recording of this on cd

  • Wooooow!! fantastic!!

  • !!!!!!BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!

  • This is one of the best music pieces ever!....And this performance is amazing!

  • absolutely amazing performance, and beautiful playing.

i was hoping that there'd be a version of danse macabre for the organ and was overjoyde to find this. 8D

  • Haunted!!! The most haunted version ever heard. Good job! Body.

  • wow.... i thought it was cool done with an orchestra... the organ just brings a magesty to this peice that cann not be described

  • is there a recording i can purchase?

  • Fabuleux et tellement fidèle au morceau pour orchestre...encore !!!!

  • Years ago the "Orchestral organ (Seen in France today) were quite prevelant. After 1960 they were scorned and so many destroyed in favor os Neo-Baroque trackers. Why can't people understand how versatile the Pipe Organ is and how rewarding to hear something besides Bach. Well done. Inspiring

  • Bravissimo !

  • Iposted a comment so this is a second chance not a real reply. The oy at the light console is absolutely enjoying himself. He even smiles. This is a stellar performance by someone who loves to pay.

  • i first heard this piece in an old computer game i used to play. and i used to only play the game just to hear this song. it has taken me years to finally remember what it was called and hear it again. what an outstanding performance!!! thank you!

  • amazing

  • BRAVO! Bravo!

  • Sure, but can he whistle??? HA! That was amazing. My favorite instrumental piece, played by two immense talents. I no longer claim to be able to play the organ. Kudos to both of these guys.

  • I just play the piano and I actually doesnt listen organ-music, but this song is awesome!!

  • It doesn't get any better then this!

  • must feel great if you know how to play this song

  • That's crazy brilliant. Bravo, Bravo.

  • I love this song. ^^

  • Oh God yes!

    JAUME

  • total awesome performance, bravo

  • WOW! That is so fantastic-very exciting-have heard it on the organ before but so much life here!

  • Simply phenomenal! I never realised just how versatile an organ could be. The arrangement was sublime, and the technical capability in its execution to match! This is the best performance of Danse Macabre I have heard to date!

  • This young man is such a tremendous artist that it's a good thing that I am not in the audience. I've always loved those who can perform as flawlessly as he does. I'm afraid it would border on "Organist Worshiping" thing. What talent he had. Really turns me on!!

  • If you look to the top left you will see a sign saying anti bus :D,i just thought i sud point that out ,great playing ,magic song and intense skillfullness :( i go crazy to think how u would learn how o do that!!!!

  • Diabulus in Musica

  • amazing, I love this music expecially played on organs !

  • grandioso!!!!

  • eres un makina Raul, a ver si vienes al Manuel de Falla alguna vez, saludos desde Granada

  • NOTE FOR EVERYBODY: in Raùl's website there is a video of the Danza Macabra ENTIRELY PLAYED on the S. Marìa de Matarò organ (in this page, it's the organ he plays when in "long hair" style...) The link is:

triple w DOT raulprieto DOT net SLASH videos SLASH Danza-macabra DOT wmv

NOTA PARA TODO EL MUNDO: en el sitio Web de Raùl hay el video de la Danza Macabra tocado completamente sobre el òrgano de Matarò (que en este video de YouTube es el donde Raùl lleva el pelo largo...)

  • Braaaavoooo Belissimo...

  • you are gorgeous with short hair!

  • This is innovative and refreshing. Beautiful interpretation of this masterpiece. It inspires me to arrange for a similar recording/performance. I must show this to someone..

  • organs are so cool

  • Bravo! I've heard this performed on Theatre Organ several times, never better than this. He plays with amazing maturity for someone so young.

  • I'm confused, were both playing at the same time, or were they mashed together by editing?

  • dude, it's clear that it's mashed together éh

but it stays fucking awesome, about the best danse macabre version to be found on youtube

  • My god this is beautiful!!!! FAV!!!! I love this! This sounds beautiful on organ!

    -Koshka

  • I remember that Todd Wilson graciously gave me a copy of this piece. The Lemare transcriptions are fiendishly difficult, but I eventually played it at a recital at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Cleveland. What a masterpiece.

  • Applausi! beautiful execution, Amazing! Awesome video.

  • One of my all-time favorite pieces, beautifully performed.

  • Superb indeed. The organ is stunning too. I specifically liked between 1:35 - 2:05. What stops were these??!!

  • Oh my goodness, you are a god.

  • We want more! We want more! It would be great if you play some more of Camille! He really has some more great plays like Danse Macabre! So let's hear!!

  • So incredibly bitchin'. That stupid Phantom of the Opera doesn't have shit on you, Raul. (note the name irony!) Please tell me there's a CD recording of this.

Note to the posters: It's the same guy, just with different haircuts.

  • wooo wonderful!

  • Raul!!! impresionante!!! he disfrutado como un enano viéndote y escuchándote, uffff.

Lástima que en Cuenca no tengamos un órgano así, si no te llamábamos una vez al mes...

    Enhorabuena. Carlos.

  • Rather fierce reeds---stronger than the tradition reeds of which the Spanish were great masters of.

He has appeared on American Radio on the Program by Minnesota Pipe Public Radio Pipe Dreams. You can listen to it in other countries on the web just look up "Pipe Dreams" Nice Oontinuity between players.

  • I am speakless! Awsome!

  • Amazing.. This arrangement actually WORKS for this piece. A great deal of creativity, sensitivity and passion in these performances.

  • Truly great playing by both organists. The organs are wonderful. Saint-Saens is always a great piece. I love the registrations used by both organists; particularly the long haired organist's registration on the louder parts of the song. Great playing guys!

  • awesomeness this was a really cool song!!

  • You know, I think Saint-Saens may have meant this to be performed on the organ. Quite superb.

  • WONDERFUL!! We Americans know so little about great Spanish organs and these two are fantastic. 5 STARS!!

  • nice.. but I am desperate searching Horowits´s dance macabre.

  • This video should be required viewing for all.

  • Wonderful!!!

  • awesome
