White people in America claim they are not racist but the message that i am geetting from them is this - "We dont want a black man speaking in the behalf of us white people. Even if in his heart he is making an attempt to defend us. Hillary and Mccain can speak for us but not Obama."
So not true! Just compare his answer to that of Clinton. She said about potential of life at conception and he said I don't know and much later said potential (clinton word) Where is his answer on AIDS? Please be real.
And his words exactly: "..where there is Potential for life."
I am sorry, he only admitted a truth that many of us wrangle with. We are all, all of us who are progressive, very, very conflicted on this topic. There is a "moral weight" to it. I think it is more decent to be honest about not being sure one understands the full complexity of this issue.
They essentially said the same thing. As a minor in communications, I am telling you, she was really just winging this forum.
That's a false argument. You're creating a dilemma, where non exists. In that measure, I could say you are clinging to every word Hillary Clinton has said. What's the difference? There is none. You just didn't have a reply to what I was saying, so you chose petulance, over substance.
alterdlame666, when all things fail, you choose to be personal. Amazing! What part of my argument is false, clinging or irrational people? I had a reply, Obama breaths nonsense, with confused background leading to confused ideology - grandizing reagan and yet want to be the leader of the democratic party. I urge you to really look beyond his scripted words. Slip out words tell volumes of what a person really thinks. Keep your thinking cap on.
You are the one who made the assumption that I "cling to his words," without even knowing me. Because I expressed an opinion that was different from yours, you are the one who took that personally. In point of fact, I could make the same point about Hillary supporters.
Stanford academic scholarship; majoring in PoliSci. I have my "cap" on. Don't talk down to someone who'll easily out-wit you.
If you take confidence in a liar, you'll take it from anyone.
As opposed to what? Someone who isn't involved politically? This is gonna be a short conversation.
What point? Barack has not lied outright. He has been more upfront and honorable about most things than she has. An objective observer would simply note the lies: "travelgate"- Ruled by a judge that she had lied under-oath in 2000; "whitewater" - While not a crime, caught in many contradictions and lies; "Bosnia" -Hilarious; "Health-care woman" -uproarious.
Barack has made some stretchers, I can not deny. But there can be no comparison, overall. And that's precisely why she hates the press: They ask her questions about those lies, even from years ago. Many reporters are still in "hate" w/ her over the travelstaff firings.
Barack is a flaming oppertunist. Happy?
You don't hire someone, especially an adult, to be president, when they perpetrate such clear lies. We teach our kids to be decent people, we expect the same from our presidents.
People say this guy is a great speaker?! Count how many times he keeps saying, "Uh, Uh, Uh" and it gets worse, depending on the question. Wake up, people!
Than one can say, where was Clinton's answer to compassion she only spoke about turning off the light or becoming more eco healthy, when the question was would you show compassion to people suffering in other countries. So basically both candidates danced around certain questions in the audience.
Barack believes in Darwinism.
Check out the movie "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed". BRILLIANT.

And Obama was more forthright, earnest, less full of rhetoric and evasive maneuvery. He is just a higher quality candidate.
Sorry, its true.

There, now that's more personal.

What can one expect from a PoliSci major. Be fair and say the same point about Hillary supporters.

And I agree, they both danced around some question. There can be no denying that.
