If we can both get along as well as we do, I don't see any reason why everyone else can't get along.

I don't think anyone would mind that at all; it's also a holy book & Islam recognizes all religions except maybe the radical offshoots of its own, Sufism. Although the wine in Rubbaiyyat may have been symbolic of ecstacy, any reference to it is frowned upon. Drinking spirits is not permitted but carrying your pocketbook Bible should be okay.

In my opinion, it should be if it already isn't. Everyone should be able to practice their own religion because the earth belongs to noone in particular; but I'm naive in this respect. Why shouldn't Saudi Arabia, Quatar, Bahrain or any other religion open its borders to a richer & culturally more diverse society?. But I wonder if Israeli soldiers don't the behinds of Moslem worshippers!! I've heard several accounts of it.

But people do want to paint that ugly picture of all Moslems; in our minds after 9/11,they all became demons!! But despite that heinous act, you can't categirize or blame all Moslems of being any more demonic than any other extremist religion or group. I see Evangelists, born-again Christians, Jews-for-Jesus, & Orthodox Jews as extremusts leaning towards fanaticism. But that's just me & I wouldn't presume to hold it as infallible.
