Why is it that to spite the Ak47 being both the cheapest and most common assault rifles in real-life, in CoD it is always one of the weapon highest up the prestige scale?

Surely it should be the decent baseline early-unlock weapon.

AK47 looks and performs its best in COD 4 and MW2. It is ruined in Black Ops and MW3, the appearance of it in mw3 has ruined it. It looks the best in MW2, when reloading you see the blocky-ness to it, which is absent in black ops and mw3.

My fav weapon in CoD is the CoD4 AK-47 with silencer pulling 25+ kills in TDM for days with that gun.I don't know how they fucked the AK-47 up in MW3.It has to much visual and actual recoil the shit bounces every were its just bad.What were IW and SH thinking when they were putting the AK-47 in MW3?

Maybe some of more organized or wealthy militias or military organizations use AK-74, AKM or more recent AK74M or AK100 series but in most cases original AK-47 is still the king in Africa just because poor economy in most countries, easy use of AK, reliability and cheap production (not like other AK's don't have these things) and no need to hit you target precisely.

What I've learned from watching this whole weapon guide.

1.XBA prefers the RDS over the Holo for most guns.

2.XBA doesn't like the ACOG sight for most guns.

3.XBA doesn't like the thermal scope period.

@KratosMayhem And I totally agree with him, Holo is just a visual attachment in mw2 and not so clear as the Red Dot Sight, ACOG on mw2 is like you want to have recoil on the weapon I find ACOG on Black Ops way better than in mw2. Thermal scopes cmon, get a sniper lol.

@FinalChris The devs need to get rid of the thermal and acog from CoD.I rarely see the thermal or acog being used on reg guns f I do its a rare apperance I only see those sights being used on snipers most of the time but even that's not to often.Holo and RDS is of personal opinion.I'll use the RDS on the Famas because the smaller reticle will make my burst go were I want them to more than the holo.I'll use the holo on the ACR because of tit has no recoil and the extra zoom fits it well.

Thank you very much for that series, I feel it really aided my gameplay in MW2. It certainly opened my play style to several more weapons, and I really liked the way it was presented. First you begin with a short history of the weapon, then move on to attachments and perks to be used, and finally the flaws. As a further bonus, you don't seem hugely opinionated on any one gun or play style. I love it, and thank you yet again.

The Mw3 version of the AK is just as tough but they gave it a wild amount of recoil. Nothing Steady Aim can't fix though. =P This gun is awesome in spray n' pray circumstances.

Great video. I would say that the AK-47 is a favorite in MW2 and Black Ops fans. It has a nice range, pretty good accuracy, and a nice rate of fire. A very good choice for assault classes. Again, great video.

Always excellent overviews of the in-game weapon use and tips. Surprisingly well spoken and professional. The only mistake I have found thus far is in the AK-47 guide, when he mentions the 7.62x39 cartridge is used in the Mosin Nagant rifle as well. This is incorrect as the Mosin uses the more powerful 7.62x54r (rimmed) cartridge.
