Hey Jasmine,, dont have to buy 401, this gyro is about $20.00 and works almost G770,look at the video have another heli with the same gyro using the sg90 as tail servo and it amazing how it handles doing funnels, but cant put it on video because XHELI took this video to show what the gyro is able to do and it doesnt look fair to me.
Sure there are some cheap peizo-electric gyros with good performance, but the quality is lacking. With a GY401, you're guaranteed of good performance without a lot of fuss. No guess-work involved. With 500 different cheapo gyros out there, some good and some not, it's easier to get GY401 performance with the genuine article.
Time will tell... it has about 40 flights on it with a couple of crashes on it and feels like the first flights, You know JR G770 is easier to make it work than 401 and this gy48v is almost like g770. But understand that must of us associate the expensive with reliability, obviously I would never gonna use this cheap gyro on my TREX 600, NEVER!!! Just took this cheap project for fun, now I have four of them and dont have to worry about leaving the field early because of crashes.. That is fun!
I have (2) GY401 and (1) GY240. One of my GY401 doesnt lock on as it should. and the other has a slight glitch. Took them both to the pros so I know its not me. I ordered a $30 401B and it locks like a champ.
Im lovin my HK-450...I replaced the stock head with the EXI unit and WOW what a diff!!....its actually a really nice kit, have had nothing but good things to say about mine!

Hey jasmine i was wondering...whats hte best or biggest helicopter you own?

Trex 500 is the biggest I'm willing to pay for right now. Not sure if I would say it's the best, but it flies really nicely.

Yeah it's pretty nice. He's having some trouble with the piro rate, but I think it's the E-flite gyro. Put a GY401 on there and it would be fine :)

I use the GY401 and DS3400G on my Trex 450, and I don't have any problems. Anything that works on the Trex should work fine on the HK.
