@MAYA95038 najat used in her kunafa aakawi cheese u can find it in international food and mudzarella cheese its available anywere if u didi nt fint aakawi cheese u can use rekota cheese or philadilphia cheese i tried it with philadilphia and the result was very tasty and delicious i hope i helped u
@rgem03 You can find the kunafa dough and aakawi cheese in mostly any middle eastern specialty foods store and the mozzarella in the local supermarket along with food coloring

hello fark al kunafe as follow you use gries milk and butter then you have got to bake them for 7-10 minutes then you have to break them very tiny pieces and colour an amout with orange colour then spread it in the pan then add the rest of dough then the cheese bake it for 35 minutes

I tried it and it was so yummy ....the only problem i faced that i used the non stick pan so can i lessen the time for 20-25 min ? when kunafah warmed up or even when it was still hot i noticed that the cheese wasn't that soft you had in the video what do you think was the problem ??...please tell me so that it will be perfect next time ....

i want to thank you for this recepie so much.. all my guests loved it especially my parents in low.. but there was one thing which actually was my mistake,,i added more samneh (around 3/4 cup) to kunafa dough so it became from oven more crispy than what it should be,, i mean the surface when you invert it , it comes as one whole piece and so crispy ..do you think this happened because of the extra samneh?
Hi,glad to hear that your guests liked my recipe.The crispness is may be due to the kind of baking pan that you used,non stick pans usually give crisp crust.I use Aluminum pans in my baking,Wilton brand is ideal.For the samneh,I think 1 cup is more than enough and you used more which has fried your crust and this explains the extra crispness.
Could you also please tell us what the red spice is that you mix with the butter? It makes it look so beautiful. I want to run out and make it right now but I don't have the ingredients. I'm in America :( Please let me know! Thank You!!!
@bluerim It wasn't food spice, it's food coloring powder especially used for konafah, but Najat said that if we couldn't find it, we can use the commercial liquid ones that we see on the supermarkets shelves, cake department that is, cheers

In my experience,my mother served sweetened cinnamon tea topped with crushed walnuts,and Mughli which is a rice pudding spiced with cinnamon and caraway seeds.I hope that this answered your question.

Hi.. I would like to thank you for your helpful advices.. I made kunafeh last night and the results were very great and satisfied.. I used butter though but i reduced the baking time to 24 min and I covered it for 5 min... we enjoyed eating it..Thanks again..
You are welcome.Any middle eastern grocery store will carry it .You will find it in the freezer section with the sambosa and frozen filo dough.It's called Kataifi dough.

جبنة الحلوم مالحة زيادة عن اللزوم وعيبها انها تتيبس عند تعرضها للحرارة وبعد ذلك تصبح قاسية.
هناك عدة بدائل وهي خليط من الريكوتا والموتزاريلا او الموتزاريلا والجبنة الطازجة الحلوة .

الله يحفظك يا أختي نجاة-أنا الان عملت الكنافة وطعمها يجنن بس منتزرة زوجي يرجع من الشغل وأذوقه- أنا عايشه في بريطانيا وما حصلت جبنه عكاوي فأستخدمت جبنه حلوم وطلعت خلوة وكمان جربت محشي العنب وطلع يجنن..الله يحفطك أنا ما بخاف لمن أجرب أي أكله من أكلاتك لاني متاكدة من النتيجة.منتظرين الجديد.

I tried it and it was so yummy ....the only problem i faced that i used the non stick pan so can i lessen the time for 20-25 min ? when kunafah warmed up or even when it was still hot i noticed that the cheese wasn't that soft you had in the video what do you think was the problem ??...please tell me so that it will be perfect next time ....
another question : i want to make it with oshta ...can i put the oshta you made in the warbat video or there is another recipe ?thanks a lot .

hello najat..
i want to thank you for this recepie so much.. all my guests loved it especially my parents in low.. but there was one thing which actually was my mistake,,i added more samneh (around 3/4 cup) to kunafa dough so it became from oven more crispy than what it should be,, i mean the surface when you invert it , it comes as one whole piece and so crispy ..do you think this happened because of the extra samneh?

Hi,glad to hear that your guests liked my recipe.The crispness is may be due to the kind of baking pan that you used,non stick pans usually give crisp crust.I use Aluminum pans in my baking,Wilton brand is ideal.For the samneh,I think 1 cup is more than enough and you used more which has fried your crust and this explains the extra crispness.

@bluerim It wasn't food spice, it's food coloring powder especially used for konafah, but Najat said that if we couldn't find it, we can use the commercial liquid ones that we see on the supermarkets shelves, cake department that is, cheers

If you activate the English subtitles,you will be able to have all the ingredients in English .I live in Canada,but you can find what you need in any Middle Eastern store.

In my experience,my mother served sweetened cinnamon tea topped with crushed walnuts,and Mughli which is a rice pudding spiced with cinnamon and caraway seeds.I hope that this answered your question.

لو متوفر بقالة برتغالية بتلاقي عندهم ال fresh cheese
فقط صفيها جيدا من الماء واستعملها من غير نقع
هي بتكون على شكل قالب بعلبة بلاستيك ومنقوعة بمحلول ماء وقليل من الملح لحفظها وبتكون بالتلاجة بالسوبرماركت

انا اسكن في لندن ولدي مشكله في إختيار الجبنه البديله لجبنه عكاوي ما هو البديل عنها لان هنا في لندن لا اعرف ما هيا جبنه عكاوي هل الموزريلا تكفي بالغرض مع العلم المزريلا بعد ما تبرد الكنافه احس انها تصبح قويه ارجو منك اختي الفاضله ان تعلميني ما هو الجبن المفضل في وضعها في الكنافه وخاصه الان نحنو مقبلين على الشهر الفضيل ارجو الرد علي بسرعه اذا ممكن ولك جزيل الشكر وجزاكي الله كل خير

@AlaaMahmood2010 Hi Alaa, I live in australia and i know what you're talking about, but I found that fresh ricotta cheese,Halloumi , and boccocini are the closest to akkawi cheese, hope this helps :)

Actually,I have eaten it once at a friend's ,but it didn't taste like Knafeh Naameh at all.
So many people are asking me for the recipe of knafeh naemeh and am trying my best to perfect it.As soon as i come up with a tested till perfect recipe,be sure that it will on my channel immediately.

I don't think this is the reason.Try using Samneh and tell me if it worked.
Try to cover it with foil after baking immediately for 5 minutes or so.

Hi.. I would like to thank you for your helpful advices.. I made kunafeh last night and the results were very great and satisfied.. I used butter though but i reduced the baking time to 24 min and I covered it for 5 min... we enjoyed eating it..Thanks again..

very pleased to know that it worked for you.
Another advice:if you have fresh cheese in your area, try to use it instead of the Akkawi and mozzarella,and you don't have to desalt it.

You are welcome.Any middle eastern grocery store will carry it .You will find it in the freezer section with the sambosa and frozen filo dough.It's called Kataifi dough.
I'm unfamiliar with Toronto,but I know some groceries in Mississauga ,I can tell you about.

What do you mean by (cream)?Knafah Nabulseiah is only made with cheese.
You can use fresh cheese instead of Akkawi if it's unavailable in your area.
