lol i was caught under a lightning storm 5x worse than this last summer in lake of the woods... we had to sit under a tree and sit down while it stormed for like an hours - but man we saw some spectacular lightning that day - i will try not to forget it
I just got back from LOTW on Thursday, crazy weather up there. Two fronts collided above us while fishing on the lake, then we saw what my dad refers to as 'The Big Green Mountain in the Sky', just as I was about to take a picture of it, a flash of blue clouded my vision,followed by a loud and close thunder clap, my hair stood up, and I had a taste like alkaline in my mouth. We were the highest point on the water because we were in a boat, needless to say we hauled ass back to camp!
Yeah I hear they can get pretty impressive down there...up in Winnipeg, Manitoba on the prairies the lightning can get pretty awesome as well....but as you can see by the Lake of the Woods lightning...it is pretty incredible too

you were lucky! early indications of a very close lightning strike are your hair standing up and a metallic taste in your mouth.

i'd go wooooo! hhehehehehehhehehhe too. you should see the thunder storms out here in oklahoma! constant non stop lighting bolts and hail sometimes.

Ive been close to a lightning strike, I know what its like, and I shat my pants lol and I was in an open area, on the way to the pub!

i love thunder & lightning but we don't get too many here in the uk except after a hot day but then we don't get many of them either!
