  • Do you have a video about slice with the driver? I just can't figure thd driver out,

  • i tried this and got 3 holes in one the next time i played. great tip.

  • Swing right. Got it.

  • just like to say thanks for the tips i'll be on my way to driving range and try them now.

  • I have been to a few shops and cant find a chair that looks the same as yours.

  • Very well explained....thanks

  • buy a mac homz

  • buy a mac

  • that was the most concise slice cure I've ever heard...

easy to understand and put into practice...thanks for posting

  • great news glad to help, directgolftuition

  • No joke, I tried this at the driving range and it cured the horrific slice in my irons and my driver. Before this video I legitimately shot a 101. Following this video the next round I shot a 92. No joke. Nearly 10 shots dropped from this video. Thanks so much.

  • HEY!!! this guy dosent lie!!!! well... he did LIE about one thing..... it took me 3 min not 5!!! always been a good iron hitter but i could never really get the ball to draw... watched this video and in about 2-5 swings i was hiting a VERY controled draw about 10 - 15 yrds R to L!!!

  • I tried it and it worked well, but after 14 holes I got tired of carrying the chair....

  • @homerlene1966 Rofl!

  • I slice horribly with my driver but hit perfectly with all irons and even 3 wood. I do not turn my wrists though I have learned to hit my irons by going straight back and straight through like a straight circle with no angle. I lost a little power on my irons doing this but hitting it straight was all I wanted. the driver problem is I pull in I guess you could say I can see this when I hit instead of straight through I turn in sort of like a U shape. How do I stop doing this? Can I send a VId

  • he sounds like ALI G

  • ali g ha ha

  • A slice is caused mainly by bad aiming.90% of golfers aim way right of target.First be sure to aim right be square then work on solid take away and first move in downswing.SEE YOUR PGA pro.

  • Good advice, 90 percent of problems lie in set up, i teach every day and alignment is a big problem, watch my eye alignment vid , the brain automatically tries to swing the club down the target line, if the pupil is aiming right it will cause an over the top movement, however this is not the main cause because if the club is released this will result in a pull. the clubface is the sole reason of a slice, all direct golf tuition pros are PGA ty for you sound knowledge and comments

  • Excellent! Good re-explanation of great old Hogan idea. I'm often trying to fix slicers and this is a great approach with clear concept - 'don't break the glass' = love it. One of the very rare times I have given feedback after 30years on 4 or 5 handicap.

  • There are several reasons why your ball slices:

    1. over the top

    2.open clubface

    3.wrong stance

4.(my common mistake) cant close the club face at impact

  • hey i have a slice as well, but aren't your number 2 and number 4 the same problem?

  • 1. cause of slice club face open,

swing path over the top leads to you opening the clubface at impact to try and save the shot, like most things in golf they go hand in hand, if you can hit a powerfull pull then you have the right hand action, then the drill in the video is great to straighten out ball flight, good luck with the changes, it will come and it is worth it because of better angle of attack (ball flight and correct loft at impact, more distance!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @karlbrua If you close the face at impact you will pull\pull hook the ball.

  • want to cure your slice...right handed golfers...pull your right foot back 2-3 inches from parrellel with your left...this will force you to swing inside out...problem solved...

  • That is exactly how I cured my slice.

  • great news !!!!

  • this is not curing this is just another stand

  • Hey. Just wanted to say everything you talk about makes sense. Could you maybe explain/show how to set the chair up so i could practise in my garden. cheers.

  • great tips thanks alot first time ever give a comment to any1

  • thank you glad you all like

  • Great video, really good analysis that's easy to visualise, i'll give this a go tomorrow :)

  • can you look at my swing and see if I am swinging over the top

  • swinging over the top used to be a big problem for me, when you swing the club, make sure than you swing aroung your body. this will stop you frm being able to come over the top. and to hit a draw just simply use close to a normal swing just in your down swip take the club close to your body and then take the club head to about 11 o clock through your follow threw any questions just ask

  • very true you are a true slicer of the ball not a pull slicer, (very rare) easier because you have 1 thing to change not 2

  • this is a cracker of a lesson, props to you man!!

  • yes i wish there was an 'overhead shot' so i could see exactly where to position the chair..thnx for the tip!!

  • Good tip,thanks!

  • Hey, I've heard the "plane of glass" analogy before but not quite like you just described it. I'm definitely going to use that tip.

  • Agree. This is a great tip. He's right about how counter-intuitive getting inside out is. If you've been slicing forever - as i have - it comes as incredible surprise to look up after you've swung as he's suggested and discover that your ball is going straight or even drawing. It feels wrong but the results are exactly right.

  • Thanks man, this makes a lot of sense!

  • Good stuff man, hit some balls at the range yesterday and what a difference. I can now hit the ball straight and long 95% of the time which is a huge improvement. Thanks for the tips!

  • Well done cam9730! excellent news!!!!

  • Where exactly do you place the chair at? Behind you or next to the ball?

  • you can also put the chair inside and about 3 feet behind the ball but it is a lot harder outside the ball and behind is easier and will help too.

  • Easily the best video on You Tube that I have seen to cure out to in swing path. The secret is the chair or anything that will get in the way of the club if you swing out to in. It gives instant feedback because one of the problems with a golf swing is that often you think you are doing one thing but in fact you are doing something else, so as the video says the instant feedback is exactly what is required. Very good video.

  • Thanks idkwia, You are spot on instant feedback is key and you are so right people think they have perfected a move but still may do it. Any changes in the golf swing should be done in front of a mirror also because once again it gives instant feedback. Thanks again and play good golf!!!

  • Every "cure your slice" video says something different. The trick is to not watch too many of them before going out. Otherwise you'll be overwhelmed. Do what you think might help. If it doesn't, look for tips elsewhere.

  • I tried this method and I cured my slice but I hit most of shots to the right. Sure I got nice draw sometimes. Also with driver I still couldnt cure my slice swinging inside to out. Its seems to be so hard to hit draw with driver for me. I hit usually to straight to the right and sometimes old slice with driver. any tips to hit draw with driver also?

  • Excellent advice. I've tried most things, but this is a very piece of advice. I used an old golf bag at the range, as a chair wasn't really an option. Worked very well, the occasional 'clump' of the bag, gave instant feedback, but this did give me a great draw...many thanks..... Kev

  • very good, trust me, if u have a slice, this will change that, club head should never be outside of the ball

  • Ty for the nice comments shoney!

  • How far behind is this chair positioned?

  • what program did you use for the video editing

  • Please have a look at my swing also.

  • Well a pull hook would have to be an out to in path, because the ball will start oh the path the club traveled, and then have its flight altered by the clubface. great video by the way.

  • It can be hit from inside to out path but is unlikely the clubface muct be viciously closed to the target line.

If the ball starts left the odds are you are out to in. path.

There are 3 main things that can go wrong swing path angle of attack, and clubface allignment at impact.

Are you hitting pull hooks, how is your hold write to me with your swing problems or upload a video and i will analyse it for you.

    Regards

  • A pull hook can be hit from any swing path though.Right or not so?

  • Or a pull hook?

  • Yes you can hit a pull from outside the swing path this drill will help you start the ball straighter! A pull hook is an out to in swing path with the clubface closed to the swing path. do the drill and make sure the clubface is positioned correctly as stated just after impact and you should hit a little draw. If you need any help mail me anytime.

    Regards

  • Thankyou so much i have never hit a draw before but after about 30 mins practise i was hitting it consistently straight with a little draw on the end. I will certainly be checking your site out when it launches.

    Thanks again!

  • Training with the helicopter you can draw or fade easily. try it and you will notice how easy is address the ball to the selected target
