First of all the pro pointer is not designed to prospect. you need a prospecting detector such as the minelab X-Terra 705, most gold is going to be fine flour gold. you need to pan the material down to a few teaspoons of material. Gold is deep so you will need to dig deeper as it will settle on the bottom close to the bedrock. you need to dig several holes in differant spots and pan each one to find the most pieces of gold and then look in that area for the bigger pieces nuggets are rare
garrett is most popular metal detector out there so figures cant be wrong i got my pinpointer today check how to boost signal and shorten signal for the propointer is very basic, is on the nest but basically turn on and off when pointed at metal to shorten signal. to boost signal put any metal on shaft while pointer is on and pull it back towards button whne it cuts out hold it against shaft now its is boosted it works fine!
@john24gold1 Interesting, I will have to try this! I feel my Garrett 250 at times will find a higher responsive metal like silver, copper etc. after finding junk for hours and hours... LOL, almost like it wants to find the good stuff more then more! I love my MD and Pointer!
OT, FYI, I have some great videos coming out very soon, but it will be on GEO Detecting page, moving over to this.

@adamnfd202 thanks I see and I also understand how hard prospecting for gold can be. Sounds like you have some in depth experience with this?
OT, BTW, I'm moving to GeoDetecting channel here on youtube.
