I loved the film, still LOVE the Friday the 13th series. The game kinda sucked, but I had to beat it. Shit took forever, but it felt good to conquer this one.

I just remember playing this late at night, and whenever Jason would appear, I'd get chills up and down my spine. I think I stillw ould if I played this today lol

But I don't think this game is bad. But the truth be told, Friday the 13th on NES is NOT a bad game. If it was dull, miserable, frustrating, mindless and literally impossible, then why did it receive a cult following by people on the internet who can beat the game by speed-running it (without cheating and what not)?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. If you look at CornshaqGaming's playthrough of Friday the 13th, he also says that it's pretty fun to play. And to tell you the truth, it's AWFUL to you, because you SUCK and have absolutely NO patience to play it.

This game is so easy if you have turbo, know how to dodge and know how to get a torch -- the game was better than most games that ever came out for the nes. With some great music in the cabins!!! and yes i can still finish it in about 10 -15 mins.

This game was freaky because the music was haunting compared to the music score of most games. The plot of the game was difficult, and kind of strange.

I remember playing this game as a kid. I still laugh at how Nintendo the "family" company which targets kids through video games released a kids game which is based off a "R" rated film series filled with murder and sex. Got to love the political correctness of Nintendo hehe.

It is a very good game. Too many people lack patience when they play this game. This game is actually quite easy once you learn how to recognize Jason's attack patterns when you fight him inside the cabin.

I used to love this game...it always scared me when I was younger...especially when you knew Jason was in a cabin and he wouldn't show up until the last minute...and then getting lost in the forest while all your friends died...was irritating

This game was awesome. Second and third day Jason were insane but once you noticed the pattern you could figure out when to anticipate his attacks and duck out of the way. Mark and Crissy 4tw!

You know, for an 8-bit game, this was a pretty scary game actually (especially in cabins when Jason is in there and you don't know where). I'd say it does rank right up there on the survival horror list.
