I have to say this, based on my personal experience with Uyghur, it is hard for me to agree with Uyghur people are in general peaceful. At lease the ones I experienced were not. But I don't want to label the entire Uyghur people this way, I tend to believe a much higher % of the Uyghur peopel, in particular young men, are much more violent than others. Such image were strongly enforced and re-enforced everywhere in China. The resentment they caused has become universal.
