Covers and log clamping have been added since this video was taken.
The hydraulic motor is a 900rpm motor from Surplus Center, I think it is a Eaton and price was around $200. It would be better if it ran about 1200rpm but works ok as is.
Should also fab something to hold the log in place. Don't need it twisting the blade and tearing it off and shooting it in the air. Otherwise nice build.
R.p.m is one variable, but the speed of the saw blade? Approx:?

That's fabulous! Excellent fabrication. I don't think I've seen one before that is run by a hydraulic motor. Nice job!
