  • Meeting of The Masters....

  • Lookadat, my baby Tony. Back in the day, so talented so fine...

  • oh, wanted to hear till the end. they cut while tito puente is soloing...

  • Cultura Latina,

Siete potencias africanas-----Chango, Obatala, Yemaya, Oshun, Babalu.

  • WHOA!! the KING of BONGO!!

  • I saw him in Seattle 1965 in a club with some army pals. All I can say is thank God for the girft of Mongo

  • Hey guys please check out the interpretation of this song on my channel! I'd like to hear your opinion!

  • Bob Quaranta is a fucking god.

  • Encantado de esuchar esta musica sublime....

    Muchas gracias.

  • Me pregunto...

    Salud.

  • @NININA5836 no importa de dónde venimos, sino adónde vamos...

  • Besides Mongo, Isn't that Tito Puent on timbales.

  • Yeah, 3.5-minute conga solo!

  • No.....I ask from John Coltrane

  • Wow! What a great version of this song! Amazing drums of course, but the piano comping and the sax on that sax solo are amazing!

  • i think the saxophone player is using circular breathing.

  • @greati9 what's that?

  • @HippieDrummer06

circular breathing is when at the same time as blowing out the instrrument he breaths through his nose so there is a continuus flow of air and he can sustain the note indefinately

  • @danieljones013 that is fucking awesome dude. I wonder how long it takes to develop that, i mean those jazz cats smoked a lot too

  • sabor latino señores

  • cubanito,que bueno suenas! rip....cubanito,tambiem.love

  • I miss coltranes´ Sopran :(

  • Love Mongo, grew up listing to him, he was one of my mentors. When I was a kid I wanted to play the conga's like him. We use to see him at the California club in LA when he was playing with Cal Jader and Willie Bobo it was the best. One of the best solo's I think Mongo played was Afro Blue with Cal Jader Hard to find.God Bless You Mongo where ever you are.

  • Mongo was the greatest! I was so fortunate to have had the privilage of making his last 3 red congas after his was stolen, that I'm honored. Poncho has a set, and there was over 200 of my drums made. But the Santamarias Cuban style Congas ( I'm the only one he gave permission to use his name, thanks to my friend, Ramon Pacheco from Denver. Wow, He was great. And beleive me it wasn't the drums it was him. Jose Garcia
