well we have this other 1 year old dog and hes the center of attention. my parents excuse for not paying attention to him is that hes "old". but really they like my other dog more.

aw that's a horrible excuse. The point about having westies, is that even I have seen 13 yeared old westies on the street and believed it was a puppy.

I thought that getting one more would be pretty much like another child, where you shared the love.

But what about You then, you like the old one because it's not center of attention, or you feel equal about them?

well i dont know but when im up on my bed and he sees me up there he will sneeze to get my attention to bring him up on my bed. and whenever im sad he will do all of his tricks to make me laugh. so i guess theres something about him that i love. : )

My Westie has one of those toys, but it is half that size and is pink. We call it "The Pink Baby Woobie" and my Westie girl knows it's name and finds it in the toy box when we mention it!

Be ready for a challenge, they're pretty high energy and rambunctious. They love attention. They bark at me to get me to chase them. They do mellow out some as they get older though. After a while they calm down. I enjoy playing with them when I go over to my parent's house.

westie ears generally look too big for the first few months..they grow into them! Around the 7-8month stage they look really awkward : ) But end up being beautiful dogs.

Yes, their ears flop when they're little. Then they start standing up, but they're way too big at first. I called it the "awkward teenage ears", like when teenagers have to grow into their noses. Eventually the rest of their bodies catch up and they're ADORABLE!

Yeah, my westie's quite stubborn. Especially when I take her for a walk. When she sniffs a patch of grass, she won't come along until she's finished with it. They're also very intelligent so if you think of getting one, make sure you think about it well.

These dogs cost alot because some have alot of problems and you have to take them to get groomed and I have four so it cost alot like alot they are hard to get sometimes

My parents got them from someone who had an ad in the paper. The people just bred their two Westies. I don't think they were a breeder in the strictest sense of the word. They got a good deal on both together since they were males and everyone seems to want the females. I think they paid less than half of what you are talking about for both.

@elsie2907 you gotta go to the right place. My mom drove 4 hours away to get ours and she was 800 i believe. Yes they are expensive no matter where you get them from :] but theyre worth it. I must admit, jamie changed my life. Now im not as lonesome and depressed as i used to be. :D she is a mouthfull!
