I can almost guarantee you that most of the people in the world have been cheated on at one point in their lives, even though they may have never known it. It's a dark world yes..

I don't think that Ashly cheated because he found the other women more beautiful. I think he felt suffocated and saw the cheating as means of escape. And yes Cheryl can be very annoying.

@HPislegend248 Well I think that almost certainly he loved her and that's why he married her. Maybe he was already mildly annoyed with her even before the marriage. You can love someone and be annoyed by that person at the same time.

I am sure that he didn't cheat on Cheryl, because he wanted to hurt her or get back at her. He probably just felt annoyed and suffocated at some level and wanted to escape. What do you think? Once people get married and they have to live happily ever after?

@iamswild yes, cheating can be cruel and can make people do very bad things and feel very miserable, but it can also open eyes and serve as a rock bottom and a closure. There are even people who get constantly cheated on and still continue being with their partner. Seems like not everyone gets the message in spite of the bold font.
