@GueldnerG25S So weit ich vom Veranstalter weiß, gibt es keine Neuauflage. Er hat das mit wenigen Helfern organisiert, der Eintritt war frei und so wie ich gesehen habe, ignorierten die meisten Besucher die Spendenbüchse. Schade war ein schönes Treffen.

kommen . interressant auch die kleinen vorschaubilder rechts .ist ja wie ein hauptgewinn an ner losbude hier hat man freie AUSWAHL

Ja, hab bei Schenck gelernt, die Ausbildungswerkstatt war dort auf dem ehemaligen DEMAG Gelände.

Jetzt hab ich einiges gelernt. Dank dir und Google weiß ich jetzt das wir in Darmstadt eine Motorenfabrik hatten. Und meine Ausbildung habe ich sogar auf dem ehemaligen Firmengelände dieser Motorenfabrik gemacht, ohne es zu wissen. Schon verrückt...

@pianoshredder89 not sure about 1:45 but the high pitched squeaking at 0:45 is the brilliant starting method. Behind the engine is a small generator plant, it comes into shot at 2:35, this is powering an electric motor with a rubber drive wheel mounted on a hinged table, as the operator pulls up on the handle below the jack shaft it brings the rubber drive wheel into contact with the main flywheel, I think that is the squeaking noise, the rubber wheel slipping on the flywheel, brilliant.

At 2:50 is the normal operating speed. Looks like he has an old two-stroke generator and electric motor to start it instead of compressed air (he'd have to have a tow-behind compressor to start it).

Engines this size and larger could be hand started if required.
