Never understood the Gallagher's adoption of the Mod image. Their music, though undoubtedly great over the years, is a world away from the soul and R'n'B that constituted what you got in the Mod clubs like the Torch and the Twisted Wheel.

@herrloop I think that the band embraced the lifestyle and the fact that Paul Weller one of Noel's idols was all about the "Mod " it made sense. I don't think that musically Oasis was trying to wave the flag about the Mod era just the attitude that was prevalent back then. Oh that and forever they played My Generation for a encore number at their concerts!
