Chiarelli has done a nice job picking up the pieces and Marc Savard is every bit as good as Thornton. Savard is way underrated and he puts up comparable stats to Thornton each year. Plus we got him cheaper and were able to sign Chara too, so the B's new brass have definitely made the best of a bad situation. Still do have a sore spot for Thornton though because he was supposed to be a career Bruin and future Hall of Famer that spent his whole career with one team like his idol Stevie Yzerman.
