i subbed :) hell yeah!! i hope this speeds out my playing, i'm a newbie and start playing at january this guitar not really i'm not metal but hope this helps, also do you have some tips to ear development?
Nice tutorial! It will really help since I only been playing for 2 years. I have a question. Where did you buy that Alexi Laiho 200 guitar? I want to buy one with a pink finish instead of the yellow since I'm a girl and I can't find any of these guitars with a colour finish, the only ones I can find are the black ones with no color on them. Thanks!
dude can this exercise work for acoutic guitars? because I want to be preapared when I get my electric guitar :D btw whats the avarage price of that guitar?
I enjoyed this a lot. One thing I would like to say is that these exercises are not only geared toward speed, but also technique. I saw a lot of flat finger going on on your pinky finger. Nice video though.
HI man, one advise: try to keep your fingers 2mm-3mm from strings when you play, you can be much faster..your second finger is too high! try it, serious.
@xxx1570 yeah i know i have got a lot faster ......but this is geared toward more of the less experienced players all this is...is a good place to start to learn if you want to really learn then watch alexi laiho, and malmsteen!!!! not me i suck compared to them im not claiming to be the expert just want to share my knowledge
@warrgrave dude i've been playin for like 2 years an i cant even play 1\4th of the speed man...... if i try i playin fast,i end up muting the notes...... i use an acoustic since i am a beginner...... help me.....
@linuxwave everyday.... it lasts from half an hour to two hours..... but i dont do just the exercise..... uh... i try to play some songs..... am i going to fast????
@chidhumetal1993 it depends. the songs should, of course, match your current skill level. there's no sense in trying to play something you technically can't achieve just yet. get the techniques down you need to use and then play the song.
@warrgrave whenevre i have a problem with something i think the only way to fix it is to just practice your way through because "practice makes perfect" always works.
@leopower7 ya like warrgrave said , make sure your confortable when holding your pick , dont force on holding it just hold it like if it was part of you and dont try to puch to hard you know , try to pick as smooth as possible (not like hitting the string) and well if you already do that well... change your pick.. idk..
great vid.... just a little constructive criticism though, try keeping your fingers closer to the fretboard. I dont know if you were just doing it for the video to emphasize or better demonstrate what you are playing but i thought id throw that in there.
i just checked this vid out on accident looking for something else, but sweet vid i actually just sold my alexi .....sweet ass guitar....my used to pick up whale sounds........god dude i miss my sweet guitar.whoever shops a st.charles pawn in MO...get it
Great Vid WarGrave :) I like stuff like this. I am definitely going to practice some of though chromatic stuff, although I don't think I will be nearly as fast as you for a while. I'm curious, what type of camera are you using? I'm in need of a new camera that isn't too pricey, but does widescreen and HD. Yours seems to have great sound too.
yeah its a sony t500 it kicks ass.... i got it off amazon for like 230 but its worth it... its small compact and amazing quality. the only thing is you have to buy a memory stick separate, and i bought an extra battery cause its battery life isnt the best. but those are two small cheap accessories and its worth it.
0:34 Because metalists dont say pinky , pinky is for girls :))

Going upwards is fine, downwards is the messed up part...

@leopower7 try a thinner pick... and try to make an 45 degrees angle between the strings
digitalph5 1 year ago
@leopower7 you could use a thicker pick and loosen your grip. don't strangle the pick. but don't allow the pick to fall haha
