I think u animated the collision objects if am not mistaken yeah ? In a way so that both ends come the center or is there another way ?

ZConti you just create a spotlight, then select cast shadows. Ensure you have a plane underneath to cast the shadow onto. Play with the settings and intensity until you get a shadow you like.

Occasionally I add an extra omni light opposite the spotlight at a low intensity to prevent the shadows being overly dark.
