Fuck no. I hate Rustangs. I have a '70 Nova. I didnt say that LS1's run bad, in fact they very efficiently build power, but they dont sound like a V8. Its because the firing order is different than the old Small Block Chevy's. They did this to even out the air flow in the intake, better idle stability and less vibration. Unfortunately, this pretty much ruined the sound of the American V8. If you like the way tuners sound, then you probably love the way and LS1 sounds but i think the sound sucks

no, it does not. This one does only because of the thumper cam. The duration and overlap. Both the intake and exhaust valves are open at the same time for a short period of time, making that cylinder have no compression, giving it this sound. A stock Small Block Chevy sounds good, a stock LS1 sounds like a Honda Civic on steriods. Its the firing order. Anyone that knows anything about what makes an engine work can hear the differnce.
