  • God bless Clarence. I named my cat after him....

  • i like the little joke Parsons is playing on Mcguin at the beginning

  • Quite right. Parsons is also very skilled on guitar, pedal steel, and harp, as well as being co-inventor (with Clarence White) of the famous B-Bender guitar. He is also a fine vocalist and composer.

  • @reborn5310 Parsons is an okay banjo player, equally okay on other stringed insts, but obnoxious as hell as a drummer. He rarely goes two bars without some bombastic fills. I prefer his work in the machine shop to his onstage work. Anything with Clarence is alright with me, tho...

  • Yeah Gene Parsons is a great drummer. And yes he is a great banjo player as well. He's a master of both trades.

  • Wow. Thanks for posting.

  • I'm really surprised how good the drummer is at banjo.

  • Gene Parsons started as a bluegrass player, and only took up the drums to get into playing rock music in the later 60's.
