I'm sorry, but I've been on 3 Carnival cruises and 4 Royal caribbean and Royal wins hands down. Royal caribbean has everything Carnival has plus ice skating, promenade, rock climbing, diving shows, aqua theater, surfing.... Royal caribbean rocks!

@Haggismaker I all ways thought the same thing. I went on 1 and All I did was eat and drink and dance . Then I went on a small boat to a near island and the sailing of the boat ride and getting to see schools of dolphins and some sharks and sea lions and flying fish was amazing not to mention the sea so alive so up close. Then we got to the island and thats where I drank , ate , and danced.

honestly,,after i checked out a cruise vacation about a year ago, i dont think i will go back to the regular old style hotel vacation....ive been on four carnival cruises vacations already in less than 13 months...i hope to try the royal caribbean this year!!

Look at that revolting Carnival ship slugging along next to such a beautiful ship! I hate Carnival... Notice how Carnival dumps excessive amounts of exhaust into the air. RCCL makes sure to use better fuels and filter out most of the fumes.

Well, since it's a brand new ship, RCCL is doing premium rates at this time. Some say it's to make up for the cost of the ship & activities. Some say its b/c we, "The consumer" are so used to "DISCOUNT" cruising b/c of the Economy , who knows, I was going 9-4-2010 but the prices went from $830 to $1,600 for a balcony. So im going to let the hype die down a little.

When I booked my cruise aboard Oasis, I ended up paying less than half of the cost we were originally going to pay because of our Diamond Plus member status and a few other reasons.
