Funny thing is that all these pairings... even Eggman/Robotnik (Mental scar!) can work given that certain elements in a story bring the pairing together. I myself is a Sonic x Shadow and Sonic x Amy pairing but I'll give almost any pairing aslong as their is some reason behind there actions and the pairing can make sence.

It would work like this, Sonic has been know to run away from amy and alwasy turn her away which might imply that he's gay, now switching to Shadow, if I remeber right he starts getting a little bit more friendlier with sonic during Sonic Brotherhood chronicles. Anyways shadow alwasy looks at sonic for a challenge but after current events he's been seeing sonic in a new light, now this could go into an event were shadow may see sonic not only as his rival but maybe something more.
