May bullying be totally eradicated someday and may it be SOON.

  • Absolute inspiration!

  • Wow, over four hundred thousand views and the like to dislike ratio is over 99%, which is strange for this "type" of YouTube video.

  • the 39 people who disliked this are terrible people and should be ashamed of themselves

  • amazing!

  • Literally in tears right now.

  • I love theater people! Theater people are just, in general, very open minded and supportive people. And did anybody else get reminded a bit of "We are the world?"

  • What sort people are the 39 who clicked "dislike"?

  • For anyone and everyone out there who thinks you are alone (as I once did). PLEASE, hang onto hope and know IT DOES GET BETTER!

If you feel lost or alone, REACH OUT, CALL OUT, SCREAM OUT if you have to, I PROMISE you that someone wants to help.

You can fight through this, but you do NOT have to do it all alone, YOU ARE NEVER TRULY ALONE, look around you, we (your friends) are everywhere and DO NOT want to loose the gift that is you.

From one who has walked in your shoes..., IT DOES GET BETTER

  • totally love it!... Thanks for doing this =D

  • FOR EVERYONE SUFFERING RIGHT NOW:

It gets better. Really. I was bullied for loving Broadway music and being too "childish" and really, just for being ME. And I can honestly say, we different people are the most fxcking beautiful people EVER. <3

I love this. It has a very Broadway chorus/legit vocal power feel. (Well, it would, seeing as these are all Broadway peeps.)

1:42 Aww!~ Princeton! And of course, Christmas Eve!

  • This is just beautiful. :`( It will always get better. just find another way.

  • I came out to my mom as a lesbian teen this summer and she's been amazing. I showed her this a little while after. Today I caught her listening to it,,, I love you mom

  • You guys make me cry .I felt like my angel were next to me . Blessed u all. Continue your good work. I wish u all success. In the fight. Live ,have hope, never give up.

  • I hope this will help young people to come out & face the society, coming out gets much easier if they had family support, i hope people stop bulling other people for their sexual preference and just try to understand them, i'm not sure about my sexuality but somehow it's better to face your fears than hide from them and then it's really get better........................

    PEACE OUT every1

  • Hi! I'm from Hungary in Europe.

There were in my school bullies. But we found each other and beceame friends. Now the school protects us, after telling our stories to the headteacher.

And this song makes me sure there is a light in the life.

    IT GETS BETTER!

  • I can't recall the last time,if ever, anything like this was done in the UK,which is shameful.Look, however the message is gotten across the fact is the message HAS to be put out there,LBGT bullying,or ANY bullying is plain wrong.Today I read in a national newspaper how Essex County Council,(UK),has only just produced an anti-bullying pack for it's teachers after it was learned they'd been 'advising' gay students to 'act less gay'! Jeeze, how damaging is THAT? Good luck to you all.

  • I just love how the Broadway community is so willing to fight for this. It really makes the day a little brighter.

  • Cheesy, but good.

    It made my day lighter.

  • i am a boy who is bullied i have thought of killing myself but after listening to this song i feel better

I wish you the very best and God bless you!

  • I grew up in the town that Sarah Palin is from. The first person I came out to was my boyfriend and then he raped me, because I told him I thought I was gay and didn't want to be with him. That was my freshman year of high school. I wish I had this song in high school because I have been hiding so far in the closet it took me 9 years after getting raped to come out. I am now, I am Ms. Gay Alaska (ICOAA) and it is amazing how much better I feel and my life is. IT GETS BETTER, 4 EVERYONE.

  • Wow I cried so much. Its beautiful and it really touched my heart

  • thank you, broadway <3

  • Good on all of you for doing this. As a bi teen it's hard for me to tell people who i am, and for them to believe me. My own parents think it's 'just a stage', but everyone else has been really supportive and i can't help but feel sympathy for those who don't live in a such an accepting community. But hang on all of you, you're not alone. Feel the love, gay or straight. Spread the love and stop the hate.

  • @ChasingHerKeeper You're not alone, nor is it a phase. Remember, you're strong, and biphobia stinks. You're stronger than the ignorance, and ignorant. Love is stronger than all of that, and while we may be invisible in society, we're very much here. Remember that anyone who can't deal with bisexuality isn't worth your time or tears.

-the former bi teen, now grown up.

  • @ChasingHerKeeper ya man im a bi guy and my best friend is a bi girl and my parents thought it was just a phase an now im scared her parents will think its a phase too so shes real scared but we know we're not alone...<3

  • Bless you all. Thank you for this post. It is very inspiring. Don't ever take this away, please.

  • Thank you. I don't think I can manage any other words. This song made me cry and remember why I keep waking up every morning. So thank you. So much.

  • Even though I'm bullied and put down all the time by people who I thought were friends, even though I ran away from the situation multiple times, I'm going to face the world as the strong young man I was meant to be and am. I love myself, even with the hard things that come with being a young transgender man. It will get better, it does get better.

  • @AtsukiChan16 It does get better. Always be true to yourself and the world will fall into order...

  • @AtsukiChan16 I'm glad i read this, there are many people in the world who love you. I work for The Trevor Project and people like you are what i use as examples. Strength like this is very admirable for young people. :) People like you have the power to change a few minds

  • you all are so beautiful

  • Hello there guys, Im a Colombian young gay who came out last friday to her mon, things were aweful and when I did it to my dad it got worst. yesterday I took 46 pills that were in my bathroom I almost died, i got an urgent detox with activated carbon, it was the worst experience ever... it was the result of the lack of knowledge from my parents and the fact of studying something they wanted. now i see my life different and even if i feel bad for what ive done, for you my angels: ITS GETS BETTER

  • Who is the blonde woman that is at the far right of the screen at 1:03 ... She has blonde curls, glasses and is kinda rocking out haha

  • This is the most stunningly beautiful thing I have ever seen.

  • I am crying because Broadway and theatre are such a major part of my life. And the fact that they support another part of my life, is just amazing.

  • I'm a lesbian and I'm coming out now at 13. Whenever I'm scared or hurting I just come a listen to this song and I feel better

  • I would absolutely LOVE for my choir to sing this song! :) <3 I NEED to tell my teacher about this!

  • it's awesome

  • I love that this song can relate to almost anything. Yes, it was recorded in response to the glbt suicides/bullying but it has so many more meanings. Anyone who is going through a hard time be they black, white, gay, straight, etc can find solace in this song. It's all encompassing which is what being is accepting is all about

  • i loved it!

  • Great song it means alot to me because i came out due to the it gets better campaign and its just great to see more people helping with that

  • This songs gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. Love.

  • Bless you all for getting together and putting out this video. You will never know how many people you have truly helped. Thanks for this post.

  • @beautifulwhitecat Wow you really have the time to look up a video and comment on it negativelly, your life must be really boring

  • @codyspitball1 I live to serve God in all that I do : )

  • I hope it gets better cause none of my family talk to me anymore that they know I have come out. My mom, dad, aunts, uncles, and etc. don't talk to me its oh so sad. I wish the best for everyone and I do know it will get better this song helps a lot.

  • 9.11.11 Debut Release.

  • Wow, how could someone not like this song?

  • This video is... AMAZING! I'm straight but my one of my friends is gay and my best friend is bisexual. This video shows me that everything gets better someday and I do know that for a fact. My best friend helped me when I was going through a rough patch in life and was suicidal, and told me that it'll get better someday. She was right then and she's still right today. I'm still here and alive thanks to her and I ended up helped her and another friend when they needed me coming out afterward.

  • I find this song very uplifting.

  • It didnt get better for 38 people

  • I just came out to my parents last night. I'm a 19-yr-old gay man, and was raised in an extraordinarily conservative community. This song helped me, as I waited for them to read the letter I wrote. What you have done here is truly amazing! It does get better; it already is getting better for me!

  • @MrBihidden congratulations have a wonderful life and best wishes to you

  • @MrBihidden Hope all goes well for you. Stay strong=)

  • Great song. :)

  • It does get better. I'm still in high school and I can say that.

I was going to take my life in 9th grade. Now I'm entering Senior year and I can't be more thankful that I didn't take my life. Now I have friends, a love, and I'm graduating.

  • this is a great song. i bought it on iTunes and listen to it when ever I'm down. as a gay teen, i was bullied a lot in the last few years during high school. almost nothing physical, probable because im 6'4" and a black belt .... but to be honest the words always hurt worse then a punch because i couldn't fight back against words. but all that changed in college during my first year not one person has made fun of me for being gay, which is a big chance from it happening almost daily

  • this is such a great song it speaks to the community and it will change many lives!

  • wow

  • 1 Q @ 1:09 who is this guy in the white muscle shirt?

  • @MrVistoria Blair Shepard, one of the writers.

  • I heard this song and it has made me feel better knowing that it gets better, this song has gave me hope and puts a smile on my face. I am on my little brothers Youtube account cause he said im aloud, hes straight and knows im bi but eh doesnt support me for it, none of my family does so tht makes things harder on me, but likt the song says, dont give up, it gets better!

  • Unbelieveable! I represent children who are neglected and or abused and have done so for 25 years or more and will until i retire because as a gay man I relate to the feelings of being all alone in the world. You guys are singing fools. Loved it !!!!!

  • For Minnesota..Let's hope they see the light.
