@Monkeygurl7264 i wanna be an actress sorta but not always like sorta part-time, so i just wanna know how much money u get from being an extra or at least a role that has a few lines. i also wanna know if u need an agent just 2 be an extra and how much it costs 2 be an extra in a movie, TV show, music video, doesn't matter
@violetzapper I make about $17 an hour as an extra, then 15% goes to my agent. Usually, you'll work for about 12 hours a day. To get on actual TV shows and movies, yes, you need an agent. To be in smaller stuff like independent films or music videos, you don't need an agent but you probably won't get paid. A speaking role on a movie or TV show pays more, I think about $50 an hour. Not sure though, it depends on the role. It's free to get an agent, never take one that you have to pay. Good luck!
@SuperMtrenchFan Start with an agent, look for extra work online but BE SAFE. Student films are a great way to start out and if you get some roles with budding directors, there are your first connections with people in the business. Craigslist is a great resource, and there could be other websites that offer audition postings. Good luck!
@sugarrhia I didn't say anything to him but I've seen him around before. I ran into him at 7-11 once. Plus, I do extra work professionally and it's not really a big deal to meet the actors/singers anymore. So kinda haha
@SuperMtrenchFan It was advertised on craigslist which is where I look for acting roles. Sometimes I do extra work and I thought it would be fun to do a MT video
