The majority admitted that if their parents and/or gaurdians would of disciplined them at an earlier age they believe their teenage years would have been spent in the public school system instead of juvenile lockdown.

In 2004 this is was not acceptable discipline for a child. However, I would say spanking/whippings of people in my generation (I'm 44), and my parents generation was normal. I had my fair share!!!! I agree that this is horrible. I want to speak on parenting. This is, pure and simple, lazy parenting. Using this type of punishment does not work and only causes a child to strike-out and behave badly. It takes time and patience to deal out proper punishments (i.e., restrictions) but it works. These are lazy, violent, inept parents who don't have the self-control it takes to raise children properly. This man should not be in a position to judge anyone else, he needs counseling!

Read that the Judge Adams apologized (Sort of) about what happened, and that it wasn't as bad is it looked on tape. Her daughter stated that she wishes for people to stop sending death threats to her father, and try to find him professional help. Or so I have read.

I knew Mr. Adams back around ¿2000? not much mind you, but my live-in girlfriend’s daughter would stay the night over their house, for she was a friend of his daughter, he (they) seemed real nice & he said ‘what a nice daughter I had’, (he thought she was mine) & encouraged me to be a good to her. I’m disappointed with the foul language but the spanking was not that bad. We don’t know all the story, I never saw a bit of abuse. They were great with little V_____, who was around 10 at the time.

In 2004 this is was not acceptable discipline for a child. However, I would say spanking/whippings of people in my generation (I'm 44), and my parents generation was normal. I had my fair share!!!! The language that they use is horrible, but again it was 2004. Prior generations did not curse as much. I look at kids nowadays and they are simply bad!!! Was the parents behavior over the top- YES!!! Criminal-NO!!!! FYI, I do not spank my child but I often wonder if I should. Time will tell.

if this supposedly judge is not removed from the bench his lack of judicial understanding and temperment will continue to rob citizens of their belief and trust in the judicial system, those lawyers that cater to him are just as quilty of lack of judicial integrity, they should be investigated, they are quilty for conspiring with the alleged judge, I feel like throwing up.

What in Gods name is wrong with people, beating a child is one of the most pathetic things you can do regardles of any disabilities being present, it truly is sad to know people like this have the power to make decisions that impact others lives so much.

Both adults need to be in jail, and need some serious mental health counseling. No child, NO MATTER what they "did" deserves to be beaten, EVER. Wow, not only was she physically abused, she was verbally abused as well. Nice language, and it's amazing how they blame her for THEIR extremely inappropriate and abusive behavior. I hope they are punished to the full extent of the law, while also being mandated to pay for that child's mental health counseling as well. Nauseating....
