Jesus why did waters ever leave... I dont care if gilmore was just a replacement for syd barret they were absolutly great together, they were great performers while together and even though i love the pulse tour CD i wish waters was there as well. :(
Guys, Pink Floyd wouldn't be the same without any of these guys... I mean, seriously. Part of Pink Floyd's legendary sound is the atmospheric keyboards of Richard Wright, so he was necessary (RIP). David Gilmour could be the most underrated lead player ever. Roger Waters is a good vocalist and a great songwriter/lyricist. Hell, even Nick Mason is good in the fact that he's patient enough throw down a whole show of 60 bpm songs, and nobody does it better than him.
@Obelix5150 I think David Gilmour is not underrated but he's deserving of more acclaim. I didn't know who he was for the longest time, but now that I listen to him, I understand how fantastic of a guitarist he is.
@SpaceTiger9 Watch , the Strat 50th anniversary concert put on by a whole slew of lead guitarist ,, watch the giants of rock in all their raucus raising hell playing of their strats ,,, watch them sit down and shut up when the God of all rock takes the stage and plays Marooned
Gilmour puts a lot more soul into Comfortably Numb than Roger. The version Waters plays at his concerts sucks compared to Gilmours's. As is the case with most other songs.
Yep! You don't even need Roger, but the band would sound better for certain songs with his voice, ex: Comfortably Numb, The Wall Part 2, though run like hell sounds better without him, in my opinion.

Comfortably Numb i think its much, much and much better without him. He is half singing half talking i dont like it.

Yea but those guys did a poor re-voice of Waters parts, they should of taken out the new-er key-boards guy, sorry forgot his name.
