I believe he's refering to a slight country twang in this version. CMT stands for Country Music Television. Night Ranger did a special on TNT (The Nashville Network) a long time ago and did this song.

Mike, yeah its a harmonizer pedal. It knows what chords you are playing on the guitar and makes the appropriate harmonies, although it doesn't always work how you want it to. But usually it works great. I need to learn to use it more sparingly.

I think it means Country Music Television. Its not a bad thing. Seems like a country influence in the interpretation.

First chord. You actually hold this chord through out most the song and just change the bass notes.
