Char and Amuro worked together and fought with Ideon in a Side Story.
Ideon is literally God: it destroys galaxies as collateral damage and is capable of deleting and recreating the universe and has already done so, Amuro and Char's existence are constants in that they are warriors representing mankind out of all Gundam heroes.
The result? They tied with God. That's how awesome their coalition would be.
